The further we get from the present moment, the more we suffer. But the nature of the brain means that we're, effectively, trapped in the past. And that's a recipe for a bad time.
In this video I'll explain how the brain interprets our experience, how that removes us from the present moment, why that's a problem, and what we can do differently.

This was excellent and just very reassuring. The part that struck me the most was about the brain being an “unreliable narrator.” Such a helpful perspective. Thank you so much.

I always appreciate the clarity you add to complex subjects. The way you break these topics into very memorable and relatable chunks really make them easier to be aware of and put into action. Thanks,

The brain is freaking out as it's trapped in it's bone prison trying to interpret this weird external world.

We weren’t meant to process all the information we’re getting now, which I why I choose who to focus on. I chose you, for example, out of a myriad of body cams and Karens. I won’t even download TikTok because my brain would be too jostled. I am already overstimulated! And the fact that we weren’t meant to live this long… the brain is processing more information over more time than ever before. No wonder we are confused!

This is a great perspective and additional insight. It could be helpful in improving my abilities to more selectively, just accept and look the other way when observing the questionable and inconsiderate behavior in the other humans that seem so increasingly prevalent and hard to ignore. Too much of; trying to fix stupid, is too often an unnecessary and sometimes overly ego induced waste of energy. Just try to be humored, let it go and get on to the next current moment. Ha!
