@@olivares32688 no issues at all. i just received the kryptonite upper control arms and the tierods, will update once theyre installed. the only issue is the factory control arms are flat and only have about 1/8 of an inch clearance from the droop stop at sitting so it makes some contact on heavily trashed roads. other than that i have zero issues with the lift, 8000 miles so far. once i get the new upper control arms on it should ride a lot smoother.

So does it have an upgraded bearing? Sure they look cool but I'm not sure I see any improvement to the failure points on a tie rod. Even trucks that death wobble bad dont bend the bar, they wreck the bearing. Pretty truck anyhow
@ColinMcEvoy5 жыл бұрын
Heavier duty tie rods are less prone to bending and wearing out. The parts are stronger and made of better quality components to achieve this. Check out their website. Not sure what bearing you’re referring to, unless it’s the wheel bearing, Kryptonite makes those for duramax’s as well.
@maddguystackerdude73665 жыл бұрын
Bro.. do you know how the little spindle can spin? You know, where the boot is. There is a bearing in that. That is the part that wears out on the rod ends.. I seriously shouldn't have to explain that to you. It's literally THE ONLY PART THAT WEARS OUT
@mattdiaz72145 жыл бұрын
@@maddguystackerdude7366 The part you're referring to is a wear point yes, but its not the reason for replacing the stock tie rods. The reason for replacing them is because the stock tie rods on gm trucks are garbage and are prone to bending and/or breaking, especially under heavy loads such as off-roading or other 4wd use. To put it simply: stock tie rods + 4wd launch = kachow mod

I guess after lifting any truck it's better to beef up the suspension components that are more likely to fail because of the changing geometry. If you overland or off-road it's better to have reinforcement but if you have a mall crawler or a daily that doesn't go off road as much then it doesn't make any sense in actually upgrading.
@ma932564 жыл бұрын
How are they holding in with time and did you notice a difference in ride?

They are holding up well, I sold the truck but new owner is still happy. No issues from what I have heard. And the noticeable difference is only going to be steering feel will be slightly tighter. Not much ride difference other then that.

And another thing why in the world are you heating the knuckle to get the ends out? put your purse down and smack the side and they pop right out. Dealerships are not out to screw you either and if they tell you a part is bad you probably shouldn't wait a year to find out oh yeah they were right and the part was bad.
