I’m 17 and I’m going through something that I can’t explain. It’s not the obvious teen thing, but a shift in my mental, and spirituality. For me, something that I’ve been doing is getting closer with Jesus, and getting that motivation to do what I want to do and be successful. I don’t want to be alone in the future and be unhappy. I’ve came to the realization that I am stuck with myself from the day I was born to the day I die, so I need to learn to love myself, and appreciate what God has given me. This vid has popped up on my feed for a reason, and I really appreciate you making this. It’s helped me stay motivated. Thank you. God bless:)

But now I’m more than happy. I have the car I always wanted, I met a beautiful girl and I found god. Just know bro everything will fall into place, it just takes time. If you ever need to reach me I can give you my IG or whatever. God bless you bro and I hope you get to read this.

I’m 17 too and Until right now I thought that I could possibly be the only person experiencing this. A Few weeks ago I subconsciously had a shift in my mental and spiritual aswell. It’s taking a positive effect on my physical. With this mental shift also came A Purified and new self righteous motivation, Producing Greater results For myself both physically and mentally. For example, I changed my diet and lost 20 pounds, before this happened I might’ve gotten tempted into breaking that diet with a single bag of chips or candy then I gradually realized I lost that sense for temptation of things I know isn’t right for my mind or body. I’ve always had a Healthy relationship with Jesus but I haven’t always had a healthy relationship with myself. I would do things that wouldn’t allow me to break free of what’s holding me back even though I knew better. I Talk to Jesus and I feel his presence greater now all the time. I Knew that I hated things about myself, things that aren’t necessarily easy to change, but the self hate isn’t there anymore only action. This new motivation is everything that I needed to become the definitive best version of myself. And I’m So Happy God didn’t patch divine timing in this universe because this Video is Definitely A Sign of something far greater For myself because their is no way that this perfectly represents and is aligned my Mental.

"your enough now" I need to tell myself that. Felt like most of my life I wasnt enough but at the same time too much. Always trying to be what other people would appreciate, Never stopped to think about what I like and what I want. As an adult, I do try to be open about who i am as a person but It comes with a lot of self hatred. I was convinced that in order to be loved, I needed to be overly critical with myself. I couldnt like myself until I earned it. I realize now all I needed was to be told I was enough and will always be enough. I didnt need strict discipline, I just needed love. Spent so many years not just hurting myself physically but mentally as well. The way I treated myself is something I couldn't even imagine doing to someone else. I think about that a lot. If I wouldn't even do this to another person, why am I doing it to myself?
@OliviaOgbovoh10 ай бұрын
I can relate to you. Sometimes I feel like I’m not enough and not seen but at the same time I’m too much? Also I keep seeking validation from people although I don’t want to.. What I’ve been doing is praying and talking to the Lord about it. I’m learning that what He thinks of me and how He sees me is way more important than what other people think of me. I get this sense of peace when I talk to Him about how I’m struggling because I know he hears me and He will eventually deliver me from this.

Damn, bro! That's the spirit! Loving yourself is largely misinterpreted. I am also an aspiring musician and an athlete as well. Also, I am dealing as well with all kind of fears and limiting thoughts. However, 5 months ago I have started a spiritual journey to my inner self, and I am still shocked at how many layers of conditioning and prejudice I have shed and still am during regular meditations and empathic introspection. Once your focus turns to your authenticity and realize that we are all in the same boat, after all, and that all those so-called "failures" are actually the compass to your actual achievements, only then we are all one step ahead toward our true identity. It is obviously not an accident that the algorithm brought you on my recommendations list. Spread the love and keep up the good work! We're all gonna make it!

I have a hard time validating or proving to my own brain that I am worth it. That I’m worth being taken care of. More often than not I feel guilty for even wanting better for myself and your words reminded me that this isn’t based in fact and isn’t reality. I owe it to myself to show up for myself and in a way that I would be proud of. In a way that would reflect the way that I show up for my friends and family. It doesn’t make it any less hard, but your words are helping push me in the right direction, so thank you.

I’ve been so weary and given up on myself so much, resented myself for settling, and trying to navigate life as I continue to journey forward. There’s something about this video that is almost nostalgic- as if it is ancient wisdom being dispensate through such a young a vibrant vessel. Thank you for reminding me that thought, feelings, and rumination is beautiful, so also is action. Doing instead of trying. I’ve been living in my head for so long I’m trying to remember what it is to actually live life- or as you say, being the life. Being in the moment, not in your head. I am not alone. Thank you for seeing me and thank you for being brave enough to share yourself with the world. We need you.

i usually don’t comment under videos 😂but i thank God i came across your video this morning. yesterday, i asked two of my friends what was something they’d change about me. one said he liked me the way i was & the other said he didn’t know, so i’m like y’all just don’t wanna hurt my feelings. then the one who said he didn’t know said, “no I really wouldn’t change anything about you except you need to stop caring so much about what others think” & my other friend said “yeah, that’s true but it’s also a good thing because that means you care about people.” lol, i really realized i wasted so much time & skills caring about what others think or might possibly think that i held my own self back. your video really hit home & altered my mindset in a way it needed to be altered to do the things I want to do & i will. thank you & God bless.

“You don’t fear solitude as much as you fear who you are in solitude” A WORD!!!!!! We need a snapping emoji lol. But you are preaching some reallllll facts!
Yes Yes Yes, im on this journey as well, Self Isolation has been the best thing ever, my mind has never been clearer, I thought of a mantra for this phase of life I'm in "Just Be" where im trying for anything, relationships, friends, money, my career etc. Instead ive been feeding the little girl in me. Doing things ive always loved doing/wanted to do. Going to the near by lakes, early in the morning, find a nice spot to JUST BE. I sit out there for hours on my yoga mat, just listening to the water, the waves, the trees dancing, listening to SZA's CTRL & SOS have been HOLY GRAILS through this all. & Magic Mushrooms, but man the ideas ive come up with, the research ive done on varies topics, in Music Production especially, and started teaching myself Spanish again. Blessings to you, Grateful I came across your video, I take this as a sign im on the right path !

I needed to hear this, thank you for being part of my journey to self expression, and self appreciation. I ain’t gonna keep holding myself back, I’m gonna take the steps forward I’ve been so anxious about. I’ve changed so insanely much this year, mentality wise and I’m not done yet. Gonna take every opportunity for growth, because I want to flourish. I’m ready to make change happen, rather than wait for it.

I feel like this is exactly how I’ve been feeling lately-the level of comfort in how I express myself has felt lower lately. This makes me feel encouraged to keep pushing towards where I want to be, in the present moment. Thank you for this great video.

I'm currently in the process of trying to reconnect with my "self", and I believe this video popped up at the very top of my feed for good reason. I've been thinking about a lot of the same things you are discussing in this video. It's always beautiful to see another "one" making progress in spiritual awakening. It's also comforting and reassuring, so thank you for sharing!

We’re in the exact same boat… down to the past month, down to the poetry, down to the fear of how others perceive us… wow. It’s so crazy to meet someone at the same point as you. I’m sending you so much love bc I know how hard this is 🫶🏾 I believe in us!!!

I think what’s helped me the most in the past week is just being. Getting out of my head and fully stepping into the power of the present moment. When I’m outside walking from class to the dorm, taking my earbuds out and just looking around, just experiencing. I’ve always had extremely bad anxiety, and I’m just now figuring out that being in my head/living through my mind is what causes it. I literally had to just stopping thinking and just move on intuition and autopilot. Let my body guide me, and let my soul watch and experience what I’m meant to experience.

@@ashxjewelmm.. everything u said - it’s crazy bc I resonate w it all. Younger me wouldn’t have believed me if I told her future her is able to walk the streets with peace in her heart n mind n with ease Are there still moments where I feel anxious here n there? Yes But it’s all natural part of being~

Great video. The part where you talked about how you used to feel envious and found that a partial reason you felt that way was because of how you felt about yourself, got me thinking and I realized that envy only exists when you feel you can’t have what the person you are envious of has. If you truly believe you can get what that person has too, envy would never exist. The envy exists only because of the insecurity you have within yourself of not being able to attain what said person has. Like Russ said, “You ever seen a confident person get offended by someone else’s confidence? Me either.”

i really appreciated you saying “it wasn’t my thoughts, it was my reaction to them”. i have exhausted myself trying to turn my thoughts off or get rid of the cycle like you mentioned. but it’s like, you are the cycle. your reaction and interpretation of said thoughts is the cycle. your thoughts will never end but you can end the “cycle”.

I clicked this video because I had a couple things I wanted to do but never wanted to bite the bullet. This video sealed the deal & it helped me with myself. Being in a bad place the last couple days and watching this video pulled me out of it in a way. It taught me too change my perception on myself and how to handle negative thoughts in myself or otherwise. You are very wise and your energy is weighing on my soul. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful wisdom and may you continue in your own personal journey ! 🙏🏽

Your way with words made me emotional. Im 19 feeling lost in my own version of my path to success. Not realizing I have done more to work towards my goals than most will do in their life. I gave myself a pat on the back for the first time in years never realizing how significant that progress I have made at such a young age. I have a deeper understanding to who I am and the kind of journey I am embarking on. I subscribed and look forward to watching more of your videos.

this broke me down to tears. my thoughts have always been so jumbled about how to live life to its fullest form and this gave so much clarity. to love every stage and appreciate everything that comes and goes through my journey. ive been struggling for so long, and this was liberating. obviously theres more depth, but this is a promising mindset for that end all feeling you mentioned. being content with everything as it just is what it is.

Wow! I felt like you were directly speaking to me with this. With me being bullied and being put down mentally and emotionally my self esteem, self love and value and how I think of myself overall was just flushed down by other people and since then I thought of myself as low as possible. I spoke to my older sister about those feelings and I broke down unknowingly as I haven’t before. I’m trying to work on that self love appreciation and taking pride in the things I love without being judged. This video was exactly what I needed. Thank you so much! This word has made me think ways on how to go about self isolation in finding who I really am. Stay blessed bruva🥹👊🏿❤️
