Im melanesian (Fijian) in my culture the touching of hair is Taboo (Tabu), in the old days you would of had your hands cut off..we still maintain the no touching of heads/hair today because really there is absolutely no reason for a stranger to be touching another humans head unless you're a hairdresser or a medic....

I've had them try it on me so many times from a child right upto adulthood and it's so annoying. By the way I've always wanted to visit Fiji. When I was younger I was mistaken for Fijian by a Fijian man. He got this English woman he was with to ask where I was from and was shocked when I told her that my parents were from the Caribbean.

But, whatever that mutation (if it is a mutation as there is no proof of this since scientists have stated they don't know so we will consider it natural designed by god) is, it has been part of their DNA for generations. The diet theory is just that - a theory. There are plenty of cultures who have a fish diet and don't have blonde hair. In conclusion, blonde hair is not unique to white people as they wanted so badly to believe.

However,my twin's hair was red(auburn) infancy,mine was muddy blonde but my immediate kid sister and our last both are blond (yellow) We are clueless as to how these came about,one thing for certain is that,it's from my dad's side. Since he too was born muddy blond and his kid brother ie my uncle, Wait for it has Blue eyes! Having said that, my grandma though dead now was black in complexion. Last but not the least,we are Nigerians of the Igbo tribe and can trace our ancestry back to 18th generation. It's interesting to note my ancestors never migrated at any point in time, but continuously lived in the same region.

I agree with you 100%. I know this is common amongst Igbos. My man too has Hazel green eyes and is 100% black African, Igbo, but people think that he is mixed. I am 100% Congolese and have brown/reddish hair and my nephew 100% African has a tinge of blond in his hair. Some people don't like to accept a beautiful and desirable image of us Africans, so they insist and try to falsely convince us and the world that it's due to white people in our DNA, like God can't be amazing on His own 😊. @@lilahdog568 Philippine history shows that this preference for lighter skin has been around centuries prior to Spain colonizing the archipelago, we had Datus and their families who from their higher class would often stay in doors thus having lighter skin than the lower classes who had to work outside so the goal wasn't to "look like a white person" but to resemble someone of a "higher class" and this kinda just carried on to modern day as a beauty standard and it just so happened that white people passed this standard (and they likely made it worse honestly) so people think the goal is to "look white" but it really isn't, you would see that it's purely coincidental if you dove into pre-colonial Philippine history, even the higher nose bridge was something Filipinos preferred prior to Spanish colonization.
