Got my Low Rider ST on Saturday (USA - Minnesota). I found your comments on the Low Rider S are spot on for the ST. Throttle is touchy, it takes some practice to get used to that, with past Harleys the weight of the bike and the lower power output of the motor probably made them easier to modulate smoothly. Front brake is excellent, rear brake not so much, might be an issue with mine as it is not very effective no matter how hard I push the pedal. The bike feels very nimble, on the highway or around town, so easy to make tight turns in parking lots & other tighter situations. The height of the pegs does give a slightly cramped feel compared to other Harleys I've had, but you definitely have more control this way. I think highway pegs for stretching out are a better solution than forward controls (which are totally wrong for bike control) but that's just me. I also had to swap the solo seat for a 2-up seat, got the HD Low Rider style Sundowner & it's very comfortable and looks as good as could be expected for a large touring seat. I find the faring to have very good wind protection, close to that of the '17 Ultra I just sold, which I was not expecting. Windshield is a different matter, wind hits me right in the chin which is about the worst possible place. Already ordered the HD high windshield. I love my ST so far, and it's been awhile and a few bikes since I could honestly say that. At times I feel like I'm back on a Suzuki sport bike I used to have, with the fixed faring and the nimble handling. Coming most recently off a couple HD Ultras, this bike puts the FUN back into riding for me. Hope you enjoy yours!

Great feedback 🤟 So glad to hear you are enjoying yours. Interestingly I found the rear brake on this 'S' to be somewhat lacklustre too.

I just got my Low Rider S and put a crash bar, with pegs for long rides. Makes those hours fly by.

Outstanding review, you took the words right of my mouth when describing the deep rumble of the motor. I have an 18 street bob and expected it to sound the same but the 117 just has a presence to it.

Great video pal. I’ve got the 117 LRS on order and should be getting it next week. Can’t wait. I’m 6ft and have already ordered the forward controls as well as I already know the mids won’t work for me. Look forward to seeing your LRST. Watching from the UK. Keep up the good work

Will you be doing a conversion, or just getting some highway pegs ? It is actually nice having both mids and front.

Nah, I'll likely convert to forwards. Never missed them on the Bobber 🤟

Don't think I'd get used to a fairing wind shield... Block alot of your veiw forward wouldnt it?

@@zanehair5239 generally you're looking much further forward than where the fairing is. Never had any issues on bikes I've ridden with fairings 🤟

One thing that I can't help noticing is that some of the new Harley's are starting to resemble the Japanese bikes that are imitating Harley's.

When you get your Big Motor ST ... Be careful.... that throttle on wet roads will take the bike right out from under you
@MisterKiwiRider2 жыл бұрын
Funny you should say that, as the tail slipped out on my test ride during a 'hot' corner! Good advice 🤟

@@MisterKiwiRider I know ,because I put a V&H FP3 ,intake and exhaust on my 17 Street Glide and it does that very easily ! And the older I get... the more scary it can feel.
