Definitely waiting for Unrecord to come out. I know some said that this is the issue with revealing a game so far from release but I feel like Unrecord will learn a lot from the places that Bodycam fails. Now that I've seen so many games using photorealistic UE filters I need better gameplay and I'm less likely to pay $30 for a tech demo just because it looks cool.

the reason it was easily made by two brothers is becasue the game is an asset flip, a bunch of store assets shoved into uneal and a few filters thrown on the camera to get on the hype made by Unrecord, Unrecord however looks better in almost everywhere

It's probably easier to make the game look like real life captured on a subpar camera than it is to actually make it hyper realistic. It would probably still look very good, but the camera effect tricks the brain a little to make it think it's that much more real.

Without the camera lens effect it would lose a lot of the realistic feel. It effectively hides a lot of the flaws in the environment and animations by being just a touch out of focus.

They're using the same effects that those liminal horror games made in Unreal 5 uses. High quality lighting along with fairly high resolution with a slight misting effect on the playercam makes shit look *wildly* more realistic, but also like it's filmed on a fairly old camera.

This game looks like crap, tbh. Not just the fisheye and 'grey filter', but any source or reflection of light is super blown out. The aiming is weird and 'wobbly', there's no ui apart from the scoreboard, the whole thing is just a store asset flip.
