I say some things that don’t exactly apply anymore due to the realshatter changes that just happened. I will be covering some of that stuff when I’m home later this week :)

The 162 was a quite nice experience back then when MiG-15bis was one of Germany's 2 top tier jets in the game. Especially for grinding out the MiG-15bis the 162 held my hand.

After using the 262 line and getting decent with them I was actually able to be pretty good in other jets, including this. Going from the 262 to this jet was like going from slow crawling through a fire into a brisk walk through the breeze. I think people give the 162 too much hate.

This jet is amazing, I have 500 kills in it and it is probably my favorite jet to fly, mostly because it doesn't fight anything with missiles which imo is the biggest plus

First match in my entire life in it I got 4 kills bc everyone was like "play speed, dont turn until you're solo" and I did just that. It's not a terribly good 1v1 aircraft you more gotta play with your team but it holds its own. I adore it. And that skin you got on it.

The worst part about this jet is the extreme compression of the already shitty ass rudder if youre going over 600kph. You just cant get your guns on target if your enemy wiggles around. Otherwise its a very good vehicle.

Many early jets are worse than late props because late props are great. The He 162 is worse than even mid tier props. I'm sure I can fight a He 162 in a Spitfire Mk II and be fine, he wouldn't be able to hit me, I wouldn't be able to catch him.

The 162 is actually insane for 6.0. It outperforms the 262 in every metric and is 6.0 while the 262 is 6.7. No, the 262 shouldn't come down in BR. The 162 should go up to 6.7. The reason people think the 162 sucks is because they fly it like they do props, don't use proper BnZ tactics, don't keep their situational awareness up and use poor target prioritization. For example it's best climb speed is around 500kmh. You were climbing at the start of this video at half that. The 162 also loses some of its performance advantage to props the higher you go in alt. Ideally you want to stay below 4km in the 162 to maximize the performance advantage it has over props. Flown properly the 162 is truly untouchable against every prop fighter and it doesn't take any effort to do. Also, contrary to the 262, the 162 has the maneuverability to easily get guns on props trying to evade BnZ passes while having easier to use guns.

Yes, I posed the question in the thumbnail/title, not stated it. It’s a fairly common opinion that the 162 is bad, so this video is discussing it. The title/thumbnail of a YT video is very seldomly indicative of the creator’s own opinion on the topic.

Worst jet? As you've shown as long as you are facing props it is not easy to use but also quite a fun plane to play from time to time If you ask me, a veteran player, the worst jet is by far the Me 262A, the oposition is just too strong for that plane, as long as you are facing actual legacy ~7.0 matchups it is of course competent and beautiful at doing that, but just, tell me with a straight face that if you meet an Su-11 who isn't a complete muppet that you have a fair chance at winning. 0.3 Br difference btw

Well... The F-80 struggles to go over 200 knots even though it's supposed to go around 450ish so... I'd say that's worse. Props go twice as fast as you, and usually have cannons compared to your .50 cals... So yeah... All that at 7.0 BR..

this thing gets way too much hate, its insane at it's BR. you can outspeed prop planes like no tomorrow, its probably my favorite plane to play, especially in ground RB. makes your enemies feel like theyre in the redtails movie when you soar past lol. best boom and zoomer in the game just dont allow yourself to be low and slow, cause thats when they get you, and why this plane was put at 6.0. otherwise youre a boss battle. the speeds you can maintain at low and high altitudes are insane AND gaijin just buffed 20mm's

162 can actually play to the stengths of a jet, speed and energy retention in a straight line, because it faces almost exclusively props every match. The 262 is simply outclassed because all it fights are other jets that do everything better than it does.

​​@@roadhigherpower creep and BR compression are a massive reason for this though. It's not entirely that the 262 is just plain bad. Its FM hasn't changed in many years, and when I would fly the 262A1 in 2016-17, it was honestly really good, and was honestly my favorite starter jet next to the P-80A, and Meteor Mk3. It's just that the game is so dramatically different now even if the 262 it's self hasn't actually changed all that much.

there really isn’t, you’re kind of at the mercy of 3rd partying people and baiting jets into turn fighting you. it can be fun but if they don’t fall for it there’s nothing you can really do
