Can't wait for this to be live! I already have all the canadian achievements, but this would make Canada such a great nation for a beginner or for experimenting new breakthrough tactics since you can let the allies man the front and concentrate on your tank designs / artillery / mechanized etc. Heck you could even do a Canada Navy only game and do decently. It wouldn't be good by any stretch of the imagination, but it would be possible at least!

Funny you should mention Canada's Navy being 3rd largest at the end of WWII because everyone elses had been blown up. Japan's Navy was still larger, because Canada demobilised their navy after VE day faster than the Japanese lost ships so they were only 5th largest (the Soviet Navy was also larger).

Ok, so from what I can gather A Polish man was granted a patent for something that would recieve a somewhat broad signal from a transmitter and alert the reciever via a bell or similar device that they had recieved a signal. Basically, a device that beeps at you when told to by someone else to let you know they are trying to contact you, not really a Walkie Talkie of any sort imo. The Canadian dude invented a portable two-way radio with speakers and a mic that you would carry in a backpack thing, much more akin to what I would call a walkie talkie, and it would later be given that nickname but not before... Our Polish lad is back at it again, but this time, working for an American Company that would eventually become Motorola alongside a bunch of other engineers, who would together create a backpack mounted two way portable radio (Basically the same thing as the Canadian lads just with 3 years of radio innovation worth of improvements) that would become the first to be nicknamed "Walkie Talkie". Then, Motorola, this time without the help of our Polish Friend as far as I can tell, created the first handheld two way radio, making it the first to fit into the modern definition of the term "Walkie Talkie", but was originally called "Handie Talkie" So really it sort of depends on how you look at it, but by far the strongest case for first walkie talkie is the Canadian lads. Again, this is as far as I can gather, I don't read Polish so I had to Google Translate the patent from the early dude in order to see what it was about, so I may not have the most firm grasp on the Polish lads original patent
