Keep up the great content and I love your fights - truly a master of your craft! Really enjoyed your session with Enkamp

I'm 5'6, and back in the eighties I used to knock the wind out of guys all the time by stepping out 45 degrees and landing a hard ridge hand right to their solar plexus. I would use it on tall guys a lot. It was one of a couple techniques that were my bread and butter.

I noticed many people koing opponents in karate combat with this, and I thought "well, from the outside, it may not seem karate, but it's basically a haito-uchi with the closed fist". Still, it buzzed me the sudden popularity of such an uncommon move. Great explanation, as usual, Wonderboy and Sweet T

4:37 is the smoothest delivery of the work "technique" ever! Almost was smoother than Jada's head almost... just messing I love your videos. you guys are the best!
@GrowingDownUnder2 жыл бұрын
Chuck Lidell once said he used to just throw an overhead right and he didn't care what part of his body made contact because it would put guys to sleep whether you hit with the arm or the fist. So this video is the best example of that. I believe these karate guys went for a chuck lidell style overhand right and then connected with the forearm and it gets the KO
@honigdachs.2 жыл бұрын
My karate sensei always preaches the same mentality like Chuck regarding this technique. It's the motion and angle that matters, along with the power obviously - not so much which part of the arm connects. So the fist itself, the bone area just below the wrist or the forearm are all good.

Anatomically, of the two bones in the arm, the inside one is fattest/biggest down there at the wrist too.. the outside blade of the wrist is actually pretty thin in comparison. Possibly another reason why it’s effective..

Where is the guy who made all this possible you two? A covert cameo is NOT ENOUGH of Lord Ridge Hand himself, we need him Front and Center, and overseeing his two whippersnappers as they try to emulate his life long tutelage, and earn themselves a Ridge Hand of note, just like their daddy. Shout out to the inimitable Ray, hey there Ray, you have done a sterling job in raising a great family, oops, also behind every good man, is a GREAT woman, so shout out to the Mrs too you guys, im unaware of moms' name so please excuse my ignorance. BTW the Crosses you guys wear, they look exactly like the one that Thug Rose wears, I know that she is a spiritual soul, but did I see Justin Gaethje with the same Cross, if so, i was unaware that he was into worship. I hope he is. Do you have a Link to where we can buy one please.

I got attacked by an inmate in a corrections environment I used to work in. I shoved him into a wall and cracked him in the face with a ridgehand. He fainted like a swooning princess waking up with blood dripping from his face. While I immediately appreciated the power of this technique, I noticed that my arm was bleeding where his tooth cut me. I have a scar as a permanent reminder that I should ensure my targeting does not involve the front of someone's face. The risk of hepatitis alone in that environment is concerning.
