He played well with this hand. Give him credit. Check raise on flop to go heads up knowing he is out of position going into turn. So made the raise, isolate and lead out on turn instead of plying his hands passively. River having more than 2:1 call with 14 outs 33%. Pot odds wise is a right call. But he should not run twice

I don't understand the calling all in with 88 given way hand played out, 3 bet, c bet into 2 other players, bet turn & all in on river when A hits board.
@schroederluck79844 жыл бұрын
Missed flush draws might play the hand the same way. Not sure AK/AQ even leads that flop into 2 players, much less fires a second barrel on the turn unless it's exactly AK/AQ clubs, so going all in on the ace could look a bit suspicious. He plays this hand the same way with pockets 9s-aces and perhaps several missed draws. I dont think the 88 call is the worst bluff catch ever because it might look like he missed his draw and is using the ace as a scare card, but I think there are more value hands than bluffs in his range overall. The ace doesn't hit Matt very often at the end as not many Ax combos are cold calling a 3 bet and calling twice on that board, which allows 10s-kings to value shove.
@danielmoctezuma37994 жыл бұрын
I’ve played with Matt before, he’s a pretty good player. If he is calling here, I’m sure he has a pretty good reason.
@PhilBot4OOO4 жыл бұрын
It doesn't seem like a great call on the surface bit if you watch the full video Vittorio bluffs all in on river spots twice. It's clear he is very aggressive and willing to out players to the test for all the chips. It's easy to convince yourself that a hand with an ace in it wouldn't play this way because it's too marginal to shove for value on the river and therefore his value shoves are few and far between with the obvious missed flush draw making it an easy candidate to represent bluffs. I thought it was a poor call myself but once I watched the full video I completely understand it. Vittorio is one of those people you have to adjust to and start to call down very wide.
@vlada_janjanin4 жыл бұрын
does the fact that vittorio shows up with J3cc in 3bet pots and plays hyper aggro helps you to understand it a bit better?

Tournament poker question: person A in SB. Blinds are 600-300 with a 300 BB ante. UTG raises to 1600. UTG+1 and UTG+2 call for 1600. Everyone folds around to SB. BB had a brain fart and got up and left the table pre-flop so his hand was already discarded. SB has 8,5 offsuit. Do you call with this hand. Everyone has between 20,000 and 50,000 chips.

Nasty Nate honestly just played like a station and got rewarded for it. What happens is people see a kid bluffing a lot and think HE IS BLUFFING EVERY SINGLE HAND!! Thats why the dude called his all in with pocket 8s. Everyone saying "good call!!" would be saying WOW WHAT A STATION if vittorio had it that hand. All this kid has to do is value bet these people into the ground the and they will happily give all their money away. The thing is he has to make the adjustment and understand no one is going to fold to him.

@@Gos1234567 it's a wild almost maniacal game. Nick, a guy who is splashing around & playing hands like Q7os, is in a situation where he is going to put pressure on Vittorio (who calls & shoves with jack high later) and sometimes shoving with absolute air to get Vittorio to fold. The range you're constructing doesn't include those type of hands or even hands like 89s and is unrealistic.

people going on and on about phones at the table...the Mike Postle situation was incredibly unlikely, to know someone who has access to the hole cards. MOST casinos now allow phones, however you are NOT allowed to use them during a hand.

I was floating the flop with a plan to take the hand away on a later street. This player was by far the most active and he was holding ATC therefore, 2s3s, for example, he could be holding. When you graduate to a level where you can actually get a player to fold a better hand than you have or make this play where I was clearly floating to play a later street, then maybe you can make a comment here. Rook!!! Committed??? lol, 115 plus 115 = 230 plus 150 plus 150 is 530 total in the pot going to the turn. I have 3 times that still going to the turn. I would not call that committed buddy. Then again you have no idea what a "float" is so read a book.
