@@KevinSmithandKnives thanks brother, me too. Stitches come out Monday. Saddest part is no blade show this year 😢 😂💙

Just recently I had a pocket fixed blade in my pocket but the clip was on the wrong side so I had to draw it with the blade facing the wrong way. I inevitably forgot that and drew the knife from my pocket with the thumb against the thumb ramp. As I drew the blade it ran right along my thumb on the ramp. Lucky the nail stopped it biting deeper.

The combination of plastic and a small knife has cut me often. It's the lot's of resistance down to zero that gets you. You can't stop quickly enough if any of your body parts are in the way. I have that knife in 3v with the PEI handle. That finger choil area cut my index finger by the second joint. Just a nick, but i took a file to that edge. I carry mine cross draw on my belt to the left of the buckle. It hasn't left my belt since i bought it a few months ago. I love that knife. It is a very sharp knife, as you know.

2800 bucks I would've stitched it myself, no joke I've used medical glue for cuts that needed stitches
@dailygearguide2 күн бұрын
Probably doesn’t look like it but the meat was hanging off. There was no gluing it 😂

Lesson learned, I guess. I'm sorry to hear you had to use your Bladeshow money. Hopefully, you heel up quickly.

Lot of good tutorials on the net how to suture yourself. I have before with cuts that big. Seriously.

Dang, that sucks. Probably can’t tell right now while it’s still sore, but if you can, is there any numbness? I have a couple of cuts from years ago that the numbness never went away from.
@dailygearguide18 күн бұрын
With cuts that needed stitches I have a little dullness but not completely numb if that makes sense.

I closed an extra large voyager on my finger.... yeah, imagine that. Years later that finger is very, very numb LOL

@@escapetherace1943 I have the XL Tanto Voyager and I’ve cut my pinky closing it-but the worst was actually from whipping the blade open and pinching a bit of my skin at the base of my index finger bit in the closure between the triad lock/blade interface. I don’t know how it happened-I’ve tried opening it slowly trying to replicate it intentionally but couldn’t as far as I recall) but it hurt quite bad and left a nasty little bruise…
