Saw it in the Estes site, but great to see the unboxing and get your considered, informed opinion! There may be one in my future. Thanks Braden! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Thanks Braden, I have been looking at a decent sized launch pad. So I just used your discount code and ordered one.

Looking forward to you launching the Estes Nike Smoke in January.

To be safe and for maximum performance with energetic motors you should stake the legs when launching.. Pro tip..❤

Wow, so they finally made a proper launch pad. Their PVC pro series 2 was pretty bad. Unfortunately half of my rockets use 1/4" launch lugs. May have to pick this up regardless.

So, do you think for the price, its better than finding a rail and adapting on to some old tripod? Not looking to take on another project honestly. 🚀🌳

That's kinda where I'm at. If you just want something that's simple and ready to go, it's a pretty solid deal.

I've been buying beefy thrift store tripods ($5-10) and adapting them to take both rods and 1010 rails. Get the rails with a hollow center and you can have it break down into two sections for transport. They also have 4 channels so if you have an 'E' motor CATO, you simply rotate the rail to a new channel for the rail buttons.

I hope you can come out to an NCR launch in 2025! I know you’d take advantage of that 35k waiver :)

I looked one of these over and was not particularly impressed... but it does break down very quickly, so it's convenient for park flying and schools (i.e. the American Rocketry Challenge).

Was looking to get this earlier this year but the price is a little spicy.

That was my initial reaction, too, but it is far bigger and more robust than I anticipated.
