And another running Buick goes of to the fields of rust.... I am truly amazed how reliable those engines are. When you do the "Startfest 2030" that thing (or whats left of it) will most likely just start and want to go. If it had something resambling a car to move, that is.

I remember when your mom got this car 8 years ago. When it was clean and in beautiful shape. She did you very well after you had to put silver Buick down to rest.

My old buick was a great car till the end,I junked it because it was so rotten that when I opened both front doors,I could bounce the car about a foot up and down.It was bending the roof across from door to door!

I'd personally try welding some scrap between the body and sub frame to make it a solid mount. Not like you have much to lose, and if the welds break the worn out bushings would still hold it in for your ride home

The enjoyment of living in the rust states lol. Upper peninsula of Michigan here I hear ya on the rust. My 08 escape the shock pushed up through the mount on the pass side. Was my only vehicle so I still drove it. This fall I was looking at a ranger so I could fix my escape but a deer had other plans. The insurance company totaled my escape and now I have a rust free 10 focus that replaced it. Since they started putting salt on the roads I have been washing my focus 2 to 3 times a week trying to keep it clean. It's hard to find a clean vehicle here. I got really lucky finding my focus that had 98,000 miles on it and super clean. Now my Silverado that's a different story lots of rust but hey it was the best price free. Needs work but it's not to far gone with rust I can't drive it.

That frame.... Honestly if it was me I would have just put the work into it if it wasn't for that. Sounds like a knock free survivor too, such a shame. Im not sure what your state uses for chems but here in Massachusetts we use crap that eats through stainless steel like nothing. Cars just dont last. I have been daily driving a classic for years and I hate every second of using it in the winter because I know its more rust repair to do to keep it pristine.

There is absolutely No-Way you could register a car of this condition for years on end in New South Wales, Australia. We cannot get a car on the road with the slightest rust or bald tyres. Cars here are inspected each year and if not passed, you cannot drive on public roads. I understand the problem with your "rust states" that require salting of roads which ruins cars. My old GM Holden VT 1999 Commodore V6 kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5-rq4uBZZemfrc had the same Buick engine as the Lesabre. I now drive a more modern Holden Commodore which you call the Chevrolet SS, the last Australian made General Motors vehicle built here and exported to to USA. Holden has now been killed off by GM after 72 years in Australia which is very sad. Watched all your videos from day one, love the old Falcon starts as we had an Australian model just like this one.
