The episode I remember vividly is the one when Casey and Derek were fighting over the room situations, in which the parents decided to redecorate the basement for Casey, but she was trying to get Derek down there instead, and shenanigans ensued.

this show always seemed particularly mature compared to other disney channel shows. I dont remember this episode at all, but I do remember the one where casey's cousin visits and there's an uncomfortably steamy scene with her and derek lol (or at least in my child brain it was steamy) and I'm pretty sure casey was jealous or something?? but it's very possible I misinterpreted that

the actors also admitted to purposefully inserting sexual tension between Casey and Derek BECAUSE the actors had found fanfics shipping the two. And they started to date behind the scenes, teenagers do what they do- flirt- making it even more uncomfortable to watch. It was as close as disney could get to incest without crossing any serious lines

According to the LostMediaWiki, Ashley Leggat (Casey) has 2 bumpers. A short version which is the one where they usually say their name and draw the ears. And a long version which is the usual drawing and name with the title of the show. Neither have been found along with about a third of other ones.

I do remember the episode airing a lot! But I have to give it one thing little me did think was kind of cool how Casey stood up for something, but then at the end of the episode that she liked it, but didn’t want to compromise her values for it! Canada does in fact have good shows! Radio Free Roscoe, So Weird, Ready or Not, Flash Forward, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Animorphs, Big Wolf On Campus. I don't mind Life With Derek, but it's definitely not one of the ones I'd call good.

i'm brazillian so this show didn't air on disney channel here (i also born in 2005 so i'm too young to have watched it anyway) but for some reason i found it on youtube in 2021 and watched the whole thing in a week lol the theme song slaps . used to be my mother and my sister and me a happy little family and alright with me but mom got married that's when everything changed some things were lost and others were gained a new school a new house so many changes it makes my head spin and now i've got a brother who gets under my skiiiiiin this is life with derek

I liked pretty much every episode of Life with Derek, great show, It's a shame how so many people seem to have perverted ideas about the show. Also, this episode aired before Disney funded them at all, after season 2 when they did, there was way less out of pocket moments after that

I'm starting to think the Latin American Spanish dub version is lost media tbh. I can't find it anywhere for the life of me, not pirated, not on streaming sites, not for sale on DVD/Blue Ray. It's driving me insane cause my cousin insists I was obsessed with this show and istg I already watched the whole thing on Xumo play (in English) and I have zero memories of it. I remember all the other shows I watched back then but this one?... The opening song though, I did find that in Spanish and I knew every freaking word wth brain
