@@granday not true, and that's what makes PCs superior to any game console ever made. There are literally decades of great games. Now if you mean you can't play current "AAA" games on a 100 dollar PC, well you're wrong there too. You will have to get some semi modern components for free, which is hard, but doable. And you will certainly have to make graphical sacrifices, but right now on ebay I've seen an old Xeon workstation with 64 gb of ram and a 6 core 12 thread CPU go for that price. If you can source a 1650 super, or 1660TI for free, (I have been able to do that with some trades) Then you have a surprisingly capable gaming machine.

I give you props for showing a price in the thumbnail that *actually includes a graphics card* I've seen 2 other budget build videos now where they have thumbnails that show a price and a graphics card, but when you watch the video, they bait-and-switch you into an APU build, which isn't bad, but still a bit behind being a suitable graphics card replacement, even with older cards.

I think a better cpu option for that board and only costing a little bit more would be a Xeon processor like the E3-123 V3 or E3-1241 V3. Looks like they're going for $20-$25 and are i7 4770 equivalent cpus that would offer better gaming performance. I have that mobo as i bought it for $40. Why idk but I'll figure something out lol.

Especially silicon chips, the shortage and how it affected the industry, yall think we just be saying this to discourse yall, no that’s not the case. These things are said for those that want to do the builds but need to understand DAILY, prices fluctuate, due to stocks, how MUCH y’all buy these EXAXT parts. Becuase of videos like these. That ties you into using affiliate links etc dude makes money off those which isn’t bad but at the same time understand exactly wtf it is you are doing in this community of pc building and maintaining, nonetheless just accept the fact that it’s a real think. So before you comment literally look into wtf MSRP is then come back and re have this convo

For everyone in this comment section. MSRP. Is a real thing. And it DOES fluctuate., the links in his bio are AFFLIATE links meaning he gets payed each time we use them and the more that use then the more that msrp goes up or mark up goes up via the seller or brand. Why videos like these help for the first 100 people then everyone else is overly priced or can’t find a component for what he said. Hence sourcing your own parts. And that also will vary on your states location, supply and demand folks. Supply and demand. And just because the pc parts in your area are being made cheaper @furkanoof, doesn’t mean it is in other folks area of living. Nonetheless if you can’t go and find each and every individual component and add it up yourself don’t be in my comment section complaining about shit when you can do the research yourself tbh.

I actually have a old PC with this CPU. Last time I used it, it was really slow. I think that is because of the SSD in it only being a 120gb and being full just from windows 7. I just tried to boot it and it seems the PSU is dead, it was a pretty crap PSU from like 2010, I do actually have a spare PSU so will test. I was of the opinion that this CPU wasn't good for much being only 4 core 4 thread. After seeing this video I think I will get it going again, just needs a new PSU and a new 2.5 SATA SSD, a 512gb would be fine. Could sell it to someone in need of a cheap gaming PC for games like counter strike.

This should have been mATX case. Quite average one looking at dimensions. Thus capable of lower cost MB, more memory options and fan headers, easier build. Instead they limited it to oversized mini ITX/DTX. You don't choose mini ITX to build "large" midtower usually. Love Fractal design cases, but this particular one has a huge flaw.

It's a fun project to do if you're interested in stuff like this, but otherwise, don't build it. By setting your budget this low (or lower), you basically start to experience reverse diminishing returns where your performance will exponentially decrease the less you spend. If you're on a really tight budget, your best bet is to just wait a bit while you scrape up an extra $200 or so and build a more modern pc. This will allow you to enter the price ranges of newer components so that you don't have to suffer with using these ancient artifacts of hardware. Just by putting 1.8x more money into the computer and having the correct part selection, it will completely blow that nearly decade old hunk of junk out of the water.

Xbox (and im sure Play Station aswell) actually sells their consoles at a net loss! Meaning they lose money every time they sell a console and that they will almost always be a better price to performance compared to building a PC. The reason they are able to sell so cheap is because they know that they can recoup their losses via subscriptions such as xbox live, and cuts they take from people selling games on the xbox store. If you're looking for a great upfront price to performance, a console is the way to go! (I feel like a representative from Microsoft or something lol)

@@smokegames1179 Shouldn't be an issue. Be careful when removing old processor & do read through the BIOS update notes. Some motherboards require you to have a certain BIOS version before updating to the latest BIOS version. If you're using a B350 board, the 5600X/5700X CPU would be a good choice. Higher core variants (5900X/5950X) would be a poor choice unless you're certain that your motherboard VRMs are up to the task.

I just built a £100 on the dot gaming pc, that included a i7 2600k overclocked, 16gb ram, a near mint boxed r9 380 4gb (which I got for £30 off of Facebook off a random guy) and a new 128gb ssd and a second hand 500gb hdd, and a new clean black case with 3rgb fans, if you look hard enough you can build for very cheap. Ik it’s nothing amazing but for £100 you can easily get into pc gaming.

Maybe something nice and 'cheap' for this build would be use a Xeon 1230 v3 that is 4/8 and it costs less than a 4770 probably :D

Did you save parts for 5 years? My powers supply was $200 nvm a video card. That m.2 drive is probably just as slow as the sata.

Is it still a good pc tho? I does it run as good as an average gaming pc. I really want a cool setup and I don’t have a lot of extra money in my pocket

SEE! People in discord made me feel like i was crazy when i asked for psu suggestions in the 20-35 dollar range. I’m not paying 70 bucs for a psu in a budget build!

I wanna use it for school and games like Roblox in Minecraft yeah you can make fun of me but those are the games. I’m really enjoying and having fun with my friends on right now and my brother only really plays Minecraft so this would be a perfect build, I think, plus we only have like $500 for everything at most and most of that isn’t even our money it’s borrowed money from our mom

I definitely would not recommend building this machine other than for curiosity, or very specific niche use. But it at least does have a few upgrade paths. Upgrading the CPU to an i7 4770, GPU to maybe a RX 580 or up to RX 6600 (with PSU upgrades), and going for a 2TB NVME in case you want vast storage option. I would move it to a smaller case though.

A year or so ago I was trying to upgrade some old Dells to i7 4770 and they were over $100 each which stopped me cold. I saw on ebay 1600af with motherboard for around $100, this would be much better than a Haswell. Add a 580 or 1060 and it should give a much better experience.

@@andrews.9286 Deals on second AM4 CPUs and motherboards are too good right now and I would rather opt for them instead. ITX is understandably a more expensive form factor to build in so I do see niche uses for these ITX Jginyue motherboards, but you can invest in your build better with their LGA 1700 ITX motherboards instead. Paying more for CPUs and RAMs on more recent platforms are pricier but only on the short term; the long term investment is their relevance in the long run compared to building on a far older platform (like in this video).

@@ahmadjibawi8535 If you have 500$ you can go for brand new with a used GPU, get urself a i3-12100F that is much better than that CPU and is fairly new, costs 100$ that will run on a half decent board 70$ new, 50$ for 2x8Gb ddr4 ram, 40$ for the case, 70$ for a decent PSU, 30$ for a 500gb ssd and you still have 120$ for a used gpu
