Curious - do you ever go in the water or is it too cold? I can’t really tell but a lot of days seems the waves are down

Yes, but the west coast has surf and it is brutal so there is not easy way to detect very deep water without getting beat up by the surf. Calm conditions on certain beaches I will go out in chest high water but it is very rare when that happens.

@@funwithjim Understood. I was out there a few years long ago. Rare were the days with little to no surf. You’re fortunate you find so much in the wet sand. Looks like you have generally higher tides and more sand movement than we do on east coast. Without a significant weather event we can be sanded in for many weeks. Good luck!

Loved having two views of the same epic day on the beach between Yours and Pirate Mikes views of it! Also really liked seeing you break out that new Deus II and can't wait to see the black sand customized saved programs you will be able to come up with on it. That machine is capable of endless customization, I would feel like I was back in school trying to make sure I could get the most out of it. I have to ask, I’m sorry to be negative. Who really cares about finding a cycle ( .41 cents) when you’re on a beach with gold & silver coming up? Honestly, I would rather find 1 gold ring instead of 100 cycles. If anyone made a video with only “ cycle” finds, I wouldn’t watch it. I’m really sorry about this post. Really. I enjoy playing the Cycle game, there are many days I metal detect trying to find any good targets and trying to hit the cycle keeps me entertained and I could care less what anyone else thinks about me having fun doing what I love to do. Though I get what you mean, hitting 1 cycle and digging a bunch of trash doesn't make a fun to watch video but it does show the realistic side of this fun hobby as we do not always have success but playing fun games to entertain yourself keeps me searching. Jim I will say first guess is going to be a tent stakes, that is my guess, while you were testing on the beach, test one. For test two I will guess a pull tab or flip tab off an aluminum beverage container 🫙, my guess for the test with that thing you were using while you were in the grass.😊👍
