If you go the brick method how could you estimate at this stage? Then add the finishing. I’m looking to build.

@@soinda87 one secret of brick is accuracy, with accuracy u eliminate errors that lead to wastage. Finnishes are not expensive if ur house was built with no error. I'm a builder and have been doing a research online. I have seen people build with no knowledge of importance of accuracy and precision in construction. Depending on location, 2 million will give you a complete house with all finishes and square area of about 150m². If interested contact me for building services

Very informative content. Thanks for showcasing. The owner got enough knowledge on building their house dream and planned every piece of building the house. Precasts can solve the housing problems that we are facing. Europe, Japan, China and US used precasts and containers to cover the housing needs of their populations. Recently the Asian countries using it to treat the slums (Indonesia, Malaysia, India others). We Africans spend more money and time using stone blocks and the slums are spreading in our cities. I wished you ask the engineer more technical details of precast idea. Thank you

This is amazing but why concrete for kitchen counters? Counters are too tall ... should be 36-inches tall, off finished floor.... some questions, what technology has been used to mitigate the risk of collapse say for example, earthquake proofing etc? Will you consider utilizing window screening and weatherstripping on windows and exterior doors? For bathrooms, would you consider utilize quick pitch technology and tile sealing to mitigate mold build up over time, which tends to happen around the drain and in-between tiles in shower cubicle corners etc?

Alternative , technology is not necessarily cheap. The cost of walling is only 12% of the total construction cost. This tech only saves on time but when you comparative analysis btwn this and stone and motar you find the savings are negligible. The cost savings that this companies talk about are just marketing gimmicks.

You can create a sheltered canopy above the door. For the windows, window panes and window putty can prevent water from seeping into the house.

Precast panels can be used as a slab with steel beams and columns to support them. You’ll have to do waterproofing of your roof as concrete isn't fully waterproof.

The hollow sections trap air, which is a poor conductor of sound, which makes them a bit soundproof. But if you're after serious soundproofing, you can add sound insulation foam within the hollow sections
