This supports everything I’ve ever said about low keys and all the red flags I’ve also noticed. When I’m on alts I do not invite excessively overheated players or groups for another reason-the challenge. I don’t want a carry and doing the content at the intended difficulty will help master the class to prepare you for higher difficulties. My only criticism is branding an 8 as easy-it’s all relative to who’s doing the dungeon. And they definitely made it as hard as a 14 due to their incompetence

Well whenever I discuss difficulty I try to discuss it objectively. An 8 is objectively an easy key looking at the tuning and structures. Sure PLAYERS can make it look hard, but that's not what's being discussed. Just like you wouldn't call LFR or Normal raid hard, just because players aren't good right? Sure you can still wipe there, but obviously its not tuned to be hard.

​@@heythereguysitsMetro An 8 is not an objectively easy key because at that point you have 3 affixes you're dealing with, plus the increased scaling from 6 levels prior. What you CAN objectively say that it's easier than, say, a 12. The thing is, any content is easy if you have the right group. A group of players doing 15s or 16s that time them easily, saying 12s and 13s are easy is objectively the same problem. It's all relative to who's playing it, and we need to understand that to some people, things are hard as they haven't yet experienced those difficulties yet and are working to improve. It doesn't even always have to do with the competency of the players-some are good but haven't done it enough and mastered it.

I think sometimes we lose sight of what the game looks like to newer players who might not have the experience or have unique issues like the Azralon one here. The same way it’s difficult for you to relate to the Xalatath affixes is the same way it can be difficult to relate to players engaging in content that you consider easy based on what you’re actively doing. And for the record, I also don’t consider 8s as difficult for me either. It’s about big picture and the ironic thing is that no matter the difficulty anything can also be hard

I’ve never experienced the orbs bugging, looks like the tank moved her right at the end causing the orb path to change right into them. The vulpine could have been picked up by an AoE from the tank too, which has happened to me multiple times when I first started tanking. “Oh, and add, I’ll grab it”

Recently decided to play my lock alt and got told I needed to run the dispell pet instead of the interrupt pet to cleanse the affix in a group with an rdrood, prot pally, ret pally and enhance shammy. Idk why anyone would actively lose an extra interrupt unless it’s like the first boss arakara where we don’t need interrupts on.

The sad part is you can never know. I am pushing keys rn and Mists was my recent target. Tried pushing 8, the tank seemed competent - he had 2 chested +6 and in general group dps was 2300 rio each. In comes the key and I immidiately notice big fat warning signs. First - tank seems kinda clueless about what packs to pick for count and seems to barely use any defensives, I have to spam the Ecvoker defensive (Time dilation?) On cd, second - Our 626 ilvl Ele shammy is doing 500k dps on AoE and 350k ST. We somehow managed to get to 2nd boss, though looking at time it was clear deplete due to lack of dps on trash. We still had 15 mins though. We depleted on Mistcaller. 6 wipes to cake. Tank was clueless, had no idea how to do it, even after the high rated dps patiently explained the mech to him. Decided to give another try today. Mists 10, 605 ilvl tank as group lead with title "if you think you can't time 10 with 605 ilvl don't join idiots". Decided to yolo it for the vault even if we deplete. We didn't. It was a super clean run, tank rotated cds with me really well to keep himself alive, had all mechs down perfectly, we had 1 death b4 last boss (me) to getting stuck inside a wall after blink and having to get trash to unstuck me by killing me near the start. Caught 3 more on last boss bcs we lacked ST dps and almost filled arena with poop so ppl started dying to lack of space. Missed +2 by 1 death. Which, considering I was highest ilvl at 622 and only one above 2k rio as healer was pretty insane achievement for a random pug.

When the Vulpin fixated the priest but ran the other direction, I believe that was due to the warlock hitting it with Death Coil. I occasionally run with a warlock and that's the behavior it takes -- you don't see a fear skull above its head, it just kind of strolls away for a few seconds. It takes me by surprise every time.

i know 100% death coil forces targets to re-aquire a new person when "fixated" ive had many grim batol runs fail due to locks using coil on dragon boss elementals who then swap to the melee person and immediatly cause a wipe. ive been told that its all disorient spells that cause this, but have not gone so far as to test any of them outside of death coil from a lock.

I get why you would think that, but that is not what is happening. The fixate is visualized by the line being on the priest and that line is there the whole time. What is happening is that the tank taunts the vulpin and when the taunt expires the vulpin returns to run towards the priest, the priest just dies 1 sec after the taunt runs out.

As a lock i've been doing this lock skip since BFA and it has never been a problem. The gates stay there until you have killed the first boss and unless you wipe on the pack right after the gate skip it's not an issue. The lock himself should not die on that pack and if someone else die and is stupid enough to release you can always summon.

I used to play on Azralon as i am brazilian myself and you would think as there is no language barrier that means things like these would happen less often, but no, if you understand portuguese or speak portuguese it gets way worse, because with most people i played with over there, they need to be right, no matter how wrong they are, which gives us brazilians on the wow community sometimes this feeling that we are terribly stupid. You can always say that there are bad people everywhere, but when it happens every single time, it gets harder and harder to defend.

Ive played with TONS of fantastic Azralon players, and we have quite a few brazilian players in our guild but unless something drastic changes I will probably never invite random Azralon pugs to our mythic prog / reclears ever again

I completely disagree, I think you're drowned with the stigma youtubers and players like Metro creates over Azralon/Ragnaros servers. Blacklisting people over nationality is xenophobia, in every way shape and form. It's funny how Metro jokes about it all the time, and creates an environment for his community where he nurtures hate towards these groups, not in an obvious way, of course, it is his method of making a living, but pretty noticeable all the same. The way I see it, everyone that does this is on hard copium confirmation bias, where an individual will perform poorly because their peers expect them to perform poorly, meanwhile if a Thrall, Illidan or Area52 player is underperforming, the issue is overlooked. I genuinely despise individuals that blatantly do shit like this because it creates a negative feedback loop that won't stop. If you think toxicity is an issue with those realms, guess what makes it worse? Furthermore, it's also really important to take into account the bubble Metro lives in. He never times keys above a certain level, he's always on the 13-14 deadzone, every. single. expansion. This increases the chances the players you'll end up with are, on average, lower quality. If you hop into higher keys, this issue is non-existant. And when I mean non-existant, I mean it. I've gotten title twice and got close to it another two times and not ONCE I was profiled and stigmatized. "But this is only your experience", I don't know man, I've done close to a 1000 keys and the numbers show that. You can go ask any Azralonian high io pugger what their experience is like and shit like this barely, barely happens. So in face of all of that, what do you do? First of all I would recommend you guys to take your pride out of your ass and understand that there are language, geopolitical and social barriers at hand. People don't speak your language? Deal. With. It. If you don't, just do not invite. Sure, live in your small little bubble and pretend the only people in existance are the ones living on big ol' AMERICA, but that's the country right? I see it from both ways, i definitely agree with everything you said and they shouldn't have left or been elitist. But alot of the dungeons been out for years not just 1 season and if you are a new player which anyone with those score means they atleast been in this dungeon before...and still don't know the mechanics or even know how your class/spec works for the group. Please don't just rely on everyone to tell you how to do your job, please put in a little effort to learn the material. Imagine going in for a test and just expecting smart people to give you the answers, you can't be mad if they don't. Theres is plenty of way to learn the material. Theres the dungeon journal and omg so many videos on the internet that goes in depth on the fights and mobs. Hell i get not having the time to read or watch stuff but i even listen to these videos in my car on my way to work. I never liked being called out on not knowing something when i couldnt have spent 2 min watching a clip. No one likes having their time wasted. What the bad players did was wrong for sure but help everyone out by doing your parts as well if someone who knows the fight has to explain the dungeon in every group over and over that would get annoying too.

If you invite someone to your key that's way above their caliber then you already put yourself in that position because you want them to carry you. I ran a 6 on my 605 druid and invited a 637 hunter, of course I was expecting him to mop the dungeon but he ended the dungeon doing 800k and my 605 druid tired him I'm damage and he was like, "what did you expect me to try in a 6". But that's my fault for inviting a high player and expecting anything out of him. Like you said don't invite people that are too high because stuff like this happens. Red flags for sure. All I was saying is don't expect someone to hold your hand either, yes help them it's a team game mode but that doesn't me you don't get to do anything or learn anything either. If you told him about the skip and even linked him a video to go learn it and he decides not to learn it and runs the same key again and people ask him for the skip and he still doesn't know how to do it then is he still a victim at that point? Yeah... In previous seasons it just felt like 1-2 players could hard carry a low key, no matter the role they played. Now having a single bad player puts a noticeable strain on the group. Less bad players = smoother key. Where are those? Higher keys.

I’ve been hesitant to invite way more score people to keys since bfa even. My healer on the other hand sees the score and invites immediately. This is so common and avoidable.

Imo he’s missing a bit here because there are two types of “high io” dudes like the dh who are stuck above 2400-2600 and are probably toxic because they want to be 3k and push high keys but it’s not their fault when the key bricks in their mind (everyone can improve) so they are stuck there and when they step down to an 8 for crests they are salty they are not speed clearing it then you have the kids who are like 2750+ and just need crests fast so they spam 8s and those dudes are 9/10 times really good and really chill no backseat no pinging or complaining just doing their job and playing. The guys stuck 2400-2700 are the problem imo they are too cocky and think they are good and should be farming 15s and they should not be forced to carry these players and the 2700+ guy understands there are levels to the game and people are at different points.

I'm farming GB 10s for the damn trinket but don't need it for score. I'd hate for people to think that I'm trolling when I sign up for pug GB 10s, when in fact I will stay until the end no matter if the key depletes. On one hand, I hate Blizzard for making this damn trinket necessary for me but at the same time they've created a scenario where even "wasting" the time in a key deplete is still worth it.

Something that can cause the vulpin to switch targets is dropping aggro - I do not see fade on CD so the priest here handled it correctly, another bad thing to do would be to nelf racial or invis in any other way.

The thing about the key in the video is crazy! A tank that shouldn't be doing this key and on the other hand, people who because they are a little above the io required for an 8 believe themselves to be gods or that they can simply do whatever they want with others, a problem with 2 lanes. Although I must say that I do not agree with the idea that, in an 8, it is THEIR or OUR JOB to teach, I think it is more a matter of good will than duty, when using the word work within a video game, unless I am a streamer or something similar, (casual player around here), I pay the monthly fee to relax and be clear about my limits within a key so as not to take up other people's time. If you are willing to join a low bracket, for whatever reason, you should do your best to make sure the whole group has a good time, not act like an idiot, like in this case the DH, who having more than 20 mins to finish, leaves the bracket without further comment, although certainly, the tank should take more notes before carrying out a bracket like this, although I do not agree with the method or the how, I think I would have been more verbal in my annoyance at seeing that a member of the group does not manage to do his minimum tasks in an important role within the group. I think that all the problems of this bracket could be fixed just by talking more! ps: I don't agree at all with the stigma and the final phrase in the video about not inviting people from a particular server, and I think I've seen at least 2 or 3 more comments that clearly make the same point with a double interpretation, I don't think it's the first time this has been done in this community both in videos and comments, I totally agree with @nussanois on that point. I think that being Latino and playing with players from the United States and others from South America or Mexico, I've had to deal with equally unpleasant situations (not documented given my casual nature). That a Brazilian reaffirms that point in just one of his comments seems to give full reason to an almost "hate" speech against a large part of the community in the game.

I highly doubt the lock is premade with the evoker and dh as the lock is in a separate guild from the other 2 (as you showed on their rio pages) that being said I can't agree with your take on never inviting groups as personally I like pugging with friends and if nobody invited groups I couldn't do that without doing our own keys which is sometimes not a preferable option for us as we might want a specific key for score or a specific item we're hunting for one or more players. I will provide the counter argument that you shouldn't invite a group with a higher average score than the average score of the people already in your group. yeah at first I thought the first fox was feared by lock (or Mortal Coiled) but at closer look no cast other than Chaos Bolt came from the Lock in the window and despite personal experience where I've taunted the fox on accident myself with nothing really happening I'm guessing if you taunt it before it fixates it starts running at you first.. And yeah druid must have taunted the fox again after the cr (unless he's using taunt in his rotation which would be rather unfortunate)

Did weekly vault 10 mists with a group from azralon 20mins over time and 50+ deaths took a while i had to take over kind of explaining things to everyone after 2nd wipe on 2nd boss and multiple wipes on last because they just couldnt understand putting ranged in with melee for a moment with adds then breaking mind link and coming back but eventually we got it. I thought it was just gonna be a quick 20mins smash n grab... it was not, not at all 😂

my guild went on a break when the new island released and for xmass and i havent logged in since. and this kinda stuff i would be running into on m+ is not making me want to play casually. and yes 8s and 10s are for farming crests. takes a ton to get gear maxed. and can craft lots of gear with it. But so late into the season its not really worth doing anymore. the raids people wanted to clear are cleared by now. This content should be on farm and its frustrating to explain and wipe on simple boss mechanics over and over. Hardest bosses for low key pugs are ara kara last boss, city of threads last boss. Purely because they got any mechanics at all. And yes you will have to accept at some point that most people do m+ for the crests and gear and not to progress in the m+ system beyond what they need to do to get those crests.

The people that want to run 12s are a tiny minority. So its zero surprise that on these pugs there are tons of people just there for the crests. It's not a Red Flag as you call it. It's a simple fact people are doing it just for crests, nothing wrong with it. It's not about "needing the runs", literally almost nobody cares about score. It's about the crests. I honestly think you don't realize or want to accept it how often you say it in a video. Just accept the fact people are doing it for crests. Between 8 and 10 are ideal for loot and crests. Really what does it matter if they "need the 8"? need it for what? the score it gives? It gives crests thats all that matters. Just let people run their crest runs and acknowledge that its a thing. Really blizzard should do a poll: "why do you run mythic+ dungeons?" I predict 90% of people are going to say they doing it for loot and crests. 10% care about score at all. And for the record, the way some of these people behave in these pugs i view as completely separate from if they are "for score" or "for loot" mythic runners, i am not defending people that are being idiots and often intentionally refuse to learn the mechanics.

Last night I did two 11s. Then a guildy ask to help him do a six city of echo. We crushed it 16 minutes left on the final boss. The tank couldn't do the last boss mechanics and we brick it. After we took the time to explain the mechanics how position. Another 10 wipes he got it and we finish it.

I hate those skips in Mists, they are unnecessary and stupid. Yeah, that pack is annyoing, but if you cant beat that pack, you should not be in that key honestly... It blocks your way for people getting killed, it often just does not work and the mobs get pulled anyway and you have to do just another group of annyoing trash at the end.

Imo you are only off with any higher io player needs declined my opinion is it’s players stuck in the 2350-2650 range they are upset that they are stuck maxing at 10s a few 11s and one 9 key so they go here and tweak when shit does not go buttery smooth any time I run my alt on 8s I invite 2700+ or their alts and it goes smooth everytime because imo the kids pushing over 13s understand the levels the game and are just there to get crests and go next when you invite the hard stuck 2600 DH main that’s where you get problems so tldr if you wanna invite high io players make sure they are actually high io like 2750> they won’t be there to flame and hearth.
