We framed this deck from OC Lumber. It’s a high density polyethylene and fibreglass composite for structural framing. It’s a game changer.

I definitely wouldnt use composite decking as a ledger board or joist... it compresses much more than wood and moves all over the place in heat.

This product is specifically designed for structural purposes. It’s not like typical composite

Can't wait to see how many people tell you that you're doing it wrong and can't use screws because they don't know you CAN use screws if they are the RIGHT screws made to hold the structural load. Too bad they don't make blacked out hangers, would look a whole lot nicer with that black composite.

You didn’t use washers on the ledger board in the 1st part Of the video but then I noticed you used washers. Just curious as to why. I thought those screws were rated for load without the use of washers. Thanks
