Slaking just being a big normal type allowing you to seal the game is pretty good. Honestly, forcing your opponent to not use an effectively 600 BP move really improves Slaking's survivability.

I was absolutely shocked by the potential of Houndstone Tera-Ghost Sand Rush Sandstorm Last Respects with 5 KOs, like what the fuck, has Pokémon always been that broken and situational? So to survive that with Slaking as a Normal type is... It could have been so cooked lmfao

I’m starting to miss them as well. @joshuavanderrheede4469 Technically Statwise big Coal is both special and physical, but having Met Beam to boost SA means you use the special attacks. Honestly, given that Tera Water is good for capturing a water based speed boost, and Scald as a fire themed special move, giving you 3 stab options to cash in the M. Beam and Steam Engine makes sense.

Would love to see you use vikavolt or charjabug as it could be super interesting. Vikavolt has good offence with bug buzz and thunderbolt to go along with it's insane spa stat, speed control with sticky web, levitate to ignore its ground weekness from electric typing and agility to get past its awful speed stat. And charjabug because even though I know you always do singles it would be fun to see how you maximise its battery ability to power up allies spa Idk charjabug is my favourite pokemon so I am kinda just biased for it but I think it would make a great video

I have Coalossal on my Draft League team currently as a Tera Captain and it's swiftly climbing my Pokemon rankings. It just tanks so many different hits and while I hope to try out Steam Engine at some point, Flame Body for opposing physical attackers is just so good. The ability to punish all the U-Turners is good fun.

You should try to use bellossom…. It my favorite and.. it can learn strength sap, and Giga drain.. along with moonblast, it has decent special attack and it has the ability chlorophyll, pair that with its speed and it can run… please notice me

I admitted don't like Meteor Beam, having to rely on a two turn move to get stronger. Maybe if they removed the boost HOWEVER let it get go instantly in sandstorm like how Solar Beam works in sunlight. I dunno I like moves that don't require you two turns considering your enemy can counteract it. Coalossal was on my gen 8 team.

Why would you put a choice item on a Houndstone? It's at its strongest when sent out last, but if it's locked into a Ghost move it's stopped cold by any Normal type.

That knock off on houndstone felt very risky to me. If that hadnt killed and had knocked off its choice item, it would have no longer been locked into last respects and could have killed the slaking.

Mayby i’m dumb but… why did the opponent even click last respects in that last game? Could he not see your team? Because if he could he knew that you had a normal type, which leaves no way to win the game if he locked into a ghost type. Either I don’t know the rules (which is likely since I haven’t played a pokemon game since sun/moon) or he made a *massive* misplay
