I’ve never been a “water” guy but really enjoy 😊 your episodes. I asked myself, why I enjoy your episodes vs other sailing channels I’ve seen? It’s a simple answer. You two are awesome story tellers, video editing and narrative. God bless your journey always!!

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences on these islands with us. This is honestly better than any travel log we may have watched on "TV". Your ease with the locals and sense of wonder and adventure fill my heart with excitement of the possibility that travel always provides. Fair winds and following seas "buddies".

Love your combined enthusiasm for life and meaningful adventure. My mother was born and raised by two teaching parents on the outskirts of New Bedford, Mass and while whaling seems unthinkable today look what great things might be gleaned from it. High Sea Adventures and Nantucket Sleighrides...and those beautiful boats you two sailed in. "Life is an Adventure..LIVE IT !!"

So I've been watching your videos for about 6 months. I watched the videos of you refitting Atticus II in NC( late night binge watch). Thought you were never going to finish the boat. So much work. Then.......I watched you arrive at Bermuda. MAGICAL! SO COOL. I had been looking at Marketplace just for fun and to dream of the day I may be able to get in the water. About a day or two after that night. I saw a Irwin 43 MkII for sale for 10,000$. Will not go into the whole story now, but I bought it for 5,000$. ( super grateful) It does need some work. But it is is great shape. Well maintained. Little ol' lady that only drove it back and forth to church kinda deal. Thank you for the inspiration. I am still probably 18 months out from setting sail. But it is real now. I haven't figured out how to become a paytron member yet ( or how to spell it, that doesn't look right). But I will. Maybe not a magic marker member, but I would really like to do what I can to say thanks. Probably wouldn't have done it without you. Thank you.

A women and men's team from New Bedford Massachusetts will compete in rowing and sailing races against teams from the islands. The Azores have 60 Whaleboats and we have 3 in New Bedford. All authentic and hand built. The ones you sailed in the Azores are not reproductions, those boats were actually used in whaling. If you're still in Faial I'd love to buy you a drink at Peter's Cafe!
