I'm an old school player and have been having a blast on edison, played years ago but only recently came back and loved X-sabers. Honestly Gravekeepers seems super smart in the engine i'm looking forward to play it, amazing idea, especially since it's used in other decks like rescue cat where it shines. Do you think 2 arcanite does not come up? I feel like it would compared to 2 hyunlei, especially like you said in grind games. I'm trying a gorz and a battle fader ( additional one for one target if need be ) but also a good sangan targetto get if need be if you are going to get otk'd since you should be able to summon it if my rulings is correct. Gorz I feel is just good, even with call of the haunted which I feel loses a little value without trunade. I never liked the draw traps in this deck since I feel like you run so many garnets, but I guess you don't have giant rat so I can definitely see it like you said being a good heavy storm target. And also I feel like the 3rd book is definitely needed, utilization is way tooo good in this deck thanks for the list =)

Two Arcanite has yet to come up for me, but if you think it's warrated feel free to cut the second Hyunlei for it! It is either that or the Thought Ruler Archfiend that are most cuttable, in my opinion.

Yes, that is the minimum requirement of its synchro summon. As it mentions 1 Tuner and 1 or more Earth monsters, specifically not mentioning Earth non-tuner monsters like most synchros do, you can just more than 1 tuner. XX-Saber Gottoms and Visas Amritara are some of the handful of synchro monsters in Yugioh that allow multiple tuners for their synchro summons.

I like the concept of this deck but isnt the Gottoms Hand Loop the best play x-sabers have? I know this deck _can_ also do the loop but how often does it actually come up in this version? No sarc, no rat, only way to find cat being sangan? It seems like it's only coincidence if you are ever able to put the loop together.

Playing a couple of tutors for Cat doesn't really change much, coupled with the fact that Giant Rat is quite bad in the deck seeing as your opponent will never attack into it if they understand how recruiters work, nor can you hope to crash it because then you no longer have a battle phase for the Airbellum handrips. All that does is add to the issue of the deck which is having to see Faultrol and/or Gottoms' Emergency Call along with your initial setup. Gold Sarc isn’t good either because Sabers is bad at dealing with established fields. GK Spy pairs much better with the rest of your engine, emmersblade, fulhelmknight and airbellum. Which also paving the way for a faultroll to come down. The deck already had 6 bombs in the form of Faultrol and Gottoms' Emergency Call and Cat+Sangan, which is much easier to resolve than a recruiter, puts it up to 8 which is already plenty. There is a reason why X-Sabers struggles to do well at any major events. And it's not because its power plays aren't good enough.

If I open with Spy I'd rather set that turn 1, so Saber hole would conflict if I were to open Spy, an X-Saber name and the Hole. Additionally it's not very good going 2nd, where this deck already struggles. I would probably side it and also play "at one with the sword" in the main deck if I were to play a more pure version of X-Sabers. But I'm a big fan of GK Spy in the deck, taking a similar approach to how Caliber Cat was played back in 2010.

Not sure to understand how compulse can play around mirror force and dprison?

There is only one step where those cards can be activated, which is on attack declaration. So your opponent won't use their trap because they believe to be protected by their monster, then in battle step you compulse it back to their hand. When a replay occurs you don’t go back to attack declaration, you simpely proceed with the battle step and then enter into the damage step. At which point mf/dp can no longer be activated.

Of course not, but if you attack a stardust for example with your Airbellum they will likely not use their Dimensional Prison. Especially not if you attack a recruiter, as shown in the example in this video.
