he's walking on egg shells hoping his audience doesn't catch on to the fact that he is putting the least amount of work into his podcast, and seeking the most amount of money. this scam really exposed just how lazy these comedians are with their podcast focus and the effort their willing to put into them. it's a quick easy cash grab guys. they have writers and scripts on teleprompter they lie about having, they show up for a couple hours and leave. they all have each other on their shift podcasts with the same formula, hiring the same scam agency, promoting the same scam products. hoping your all dumb enough to round Robin their same scam bullshit for at least a couple years while they laugh to the bank a couple mill richer. it's not quality comedy or art. not quality advertisers. and the viewers have to be a little stupid to say..."IM SO MAD FOR YOU THEO! In this day in age with cameras everywhere it does help make it easier to catch evidence. But when you're going to call someone out for their actions it is always best to be able to produce facts to show what you mean. This sadly is not always available I understand that.

Hell yeah. When I was 20 I managed a chain of smoke shops in SoCal. One day I’m talking to a customer and an old man walks in dressed extremely well. Asks a couple questions and then mentions some horse races. Pulls a paper out with horse names and odds written on it. Gives a story about how a certain horse hadn’t lost at this track in x amount of years. Next thing I know my customer had went to a bank and gave this old man $500 to bet on a horse. He asked me if I wanted to bed but I honestly was so confused I just said I had no cash. He mentions to the guy he’ll head back this way when the race is over and leaves. We sit there talking and then realize my customer didn’t get this guys name, his phone number or any info at all. The horse track he claimed to be going to wasn’t even open. The horse names were all made up. This man walks around ready to talk strangers out of cash and then moves on to the next small city.

This sounds like a classic pump and dump. They started skimming cash out of Theo and others revenue, then withheld revenue to blackmail them into pumping up their new companies stock, and which point they'd release what they owed them and then most likely to get around the IPO lock-up period which is usually 180 days by being able to sell the inflated stocks to someone else thinking the stock is going up when in reality, its about to bottom out.

Nothing really illegal about the second part of it. The not paying them the ad money is 100% fkd but the offering of stock options instead of cash is a fairly common technique in order to keep costs down as it incentives the people (in this case Theo) to do well in order for the value of the stock to increase. For it to be illegal the claims they are making would have to be untrue or misleading. If Theo signed and they promoted his as a member then they wouldn't be lying or being untruthful.

No, much more likely is Kast Media needed to boost their assets and profit margins to appear as profits as possible, so that they can sell to or merge with a bigger company and therefore demand higher splits overall or better rates from advertisers. He’s kept back the money, and the new company has found out about this late, but then tried to create a method to not have to take on the debts, and know they can offer “stock” to people who don’t understand stock. It’ll be a non controlling share, and a pre IPO valuation, which means it’s a gamble, and you have no control, it can also be stock that gets diluted if it the company does well in the IPO. They’re hedging their bets basically, and would rather pay the owed people less, knowing if they accept that, they simply lose out of the debt. Well done Theo.
