Ive just started back running. I was 225lbs 8 years ago now im 275lbs just feels hard on my joints but im pushing through. I had plantar fascitis for over a year too ( just too heavy) that seems to be gone for the mean time. Ive always loved running. So this is start. Thanks for your video. Cheers

Sorry to hear about that. Start with walking ... as long as you are steady and consistent, your body will naturally adapt and give you the body you need to run. And walking is oh soo relaxing 😌

running 5k every other day and doing weights and yoga on off days probably better overall than just running, imo. gives you more variety and something to do when you injure yourself, as most people eventually have injuries. when injuries happen you change to another exercise until the injury heals then go back to the original exercise. weights, stretching, cardio, heart healthy diet, 7 hours sleep a night at least, low stress/anxiety life. no smoking, only social drinking. caloric deficit if your BMI above 25. peace.

@@BobPage sounds very healthy to me :) i've done vegan before but my spouse doesn't like it so I stopped. running every other day has been much better on my body. i almost never get any kinds of injury or pains anymore. everyday is just rough on the body no matter how good your form. i suppose some people can do it, but for me it's not worth the risk of injury and it tires me to do other types of exercises. florida coast 2 coast sounds like a fun race. you go across alligator ally or something?

Good job at 52 thats amazing! I'm 35 and after carrying my 3rd baby while working strenuous job my lower back is messed up. I was on muscle relaxers for a few months. I also finally quit the wine (which I picked up again for a few months after I quit breastfeeding... to sleep) and replaced it with an herbal sleep aid. My baby is 9 months now and I've been getting on my treadmill with my Hoka's. Its going really well but its harder to lose weight than it used to be (after having my other kids). I started jogging 5 or 10 minutes at a time and then walking the other 20 or 30 minutes and slowly worked up to a 5k everyday or almost every day. My knees hurt though, they never used to in my 20's.

Been doing 5 miles (8 km) every morning. Slowly built up to that distance over the course of two years. Started off walking, now running about 3/5ths of the 5 five miles. Have lost about 70 lbs so far. Hoping to lose about 30 more and be able to run the entire distance. Some days I feel like I might be over doing it, but it hasn't killed me yet... so I guess I just keep on trucking.

Hey, I’m not really sure why I have to ask this question but how do I get back into running. I was never a track star but I used to run a lot, I was in the Military and worked in Law Enforcement. But after several injuries and 5 knee surgeries I haven’t ran in a really long time. But after watching your video you have sparked my interest and desire to run again. But where do I begin and how do I start off. I’m definitely overweight but I have lost 105lbs. doing Keto and push-ups almost every day. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great achievement...but...I think this is very bad for your joints. I'm reasonably fit, maybe 17% body fat, nothing special, but not medically over-fat. I recently did two consecutive days of 6k and 5k. It tired me out, it hurt my joints... Don't set yourself up for later-life joint complaints with over-training just to lose weight fast.

SAD thing about running when losing weight. If u ever stop running you'll gain weight At some point you'll need to to run just to maintain weight. Diet is the key to weight loss

True !!!!! But if u start off walking/running 5k eventually your ody will adopt and u will no longer be able to lose weight. EVENTUALLY the amount of exercise you used to LOSE weight will be needed to MAINTAIN weight ...... No one gets fat from not working out !!!! FOOD makes u fat..Not lack of exercise
