How I would like to have a look at Rashford’s contract. There must be a minutes-clause in the same; otherwise how do you explain his persistent selection when playing crap every time. This is the new United. They don't understand the expectation of being United. You cant talk away a 3-0 lead. The manager has to take responsibility for a tactical cock-up like this. I've noticed that the Manchester United team is not working together due to ego problems. Ahmad is hesitant to shoot, Nacho doesn't receive enough passes, and there seems to be an avoidance in passing him the ball despite his striking capabilities. Dalot is also problematic, and overall, they all lack drive and appear lazy.

I was angry because I really dislike poor defending. Ok, the reason I haven't kicked off about it before is because I do think Erik ten Hag makes games open deliberately to allow the team to score more goals. Scoring enough goals has been United's problem for a long time. My issue yesterday was, the team is 3-0 ahead with less than half an hour left. A team, even as makeshift as this, should be able to defend against another team from the Championship gambling to try to make something happen. We may find some of the players on the pitch were playing injured, but at some point, you need to get fitter players on, whatever their seniority. The game management yesterday made the Chelsea debacle look sophisticated. The buck stops with the manager. To even go into extra time yesterday was criminal. Sorry, Erik, your mouthwash isn't working.

Sam, a casual observer could see Coventry had changed formation. Ten Hag chose to ignore it believing that, presumably, the substitutes could cope with it without instruction. The ball through to Simms in the lead up to the 2nd goal is a classic case. That kind of ball from the opposition has caused so much damage to United right throughout this season that, for me it was the final straw. I understand why he plays open in Premier League games because the team doesn't score enough goals, but at 3-0, you have the opportunity to sit deep and counter attack properly. Luton Town would have done better than that.
