So the only consequence of him not winning a trophy next season could be a fraction of the fanbase become impatient... who cares? Trophies eventually will come as I said, Arsenal do not have some god given right to consistently win big trophies and as a fan I recognise this. People try and make it so much more deep than it is, we are all football fans and the main things are happiness and ambition, I feel happy watching this team and I feel ambitious about the club... nothing else matters to me aslong as I can say that imo he should stay.

We are challenging at the top of the prem consistently. You can't just remove the context around everything that Arteta has built and call this a crisis after losing out to City the way we did this year. If any Arsenal fan is honestly discounting the consistent progress we've seen in the last 3-4 years then they lack awareness. This could have gone badly after Emery had we not lucked out with a manager of Arteta's potential, mindset, and leadership ability. The manager carousel is real and you only need to take a look at United, Chelsea, and Spurs in recent times.

I'd like to keep academy graduates but the injury history and our dealings with players more susceptible to them than others makes me want Arsenal to be ruthless with ESR. Send him into a good landing spot for a decent fee, him and Eddie then buy Guimares as a statement signing of the window to stir up the squad and the fan base. Then maybe a Sesko, a RW or LB depending on how much we get for Tavares, Lokonga and Tierney.

Arsenal, City and Chelsea are in a great position in which they just need to strengthen their second team. The next season could have a lot of injuries due to the Euros this summer and they heavier new champions league schedule. The drop in quality of subs could determine many games and hence many title deciders.
