Dear CarlieAndAnge, I'm just wondering if you will be able to react to a special anime release for Solo Levelling this coming week. it is a world premiere of its first 2 episodes of the anime. In which the actual anime will be released on January 7, 2024.

Oikawa is, regardless of the outcome of this match, the best player in this match. He is not only talented but brings out the best even in erratic pieces like Mad Dog-chan.
@tamarlevy5949 Жыл бұрын
exactly. oikawa is definitely the MVP player of the match as a whole. everyone pulled off some crazy plays on both ends, but oikawa is on another level
@unnirajac86179 ай бұрын
He is too good ♥️♥️🔥🔥🔥
@danreis24344 ай бұрын
@Kate-bl2mz Ok, your opinion is as valid as everyone else's, but we have several moments where Kageyama says that Oikawa is, at that moment, better than him in general, including as a setter, I think with that you can assume who the author is pointing out as the best in this match. But feel free to choose whoever you prefer.

When Suga was swapped in it was Tsuki's turn to serve so he was at the back where Tsuki cant block, making it Tsuki's weakest rotation, so is one of the best rotations to put Suga in. They often use pinch serves when either Tsuki or Hinata are up to serve as both excel in the front row and less in the back (Tsuki cant block, and Hinta has less option for attack, plus neither are that good at receives )
@felipemedrado63077 ай бұрын
well at least in that time hinata turn out as a pretty good reciver latter on
@girish2754 Жыл бұрын
Ohh close call between Oikawa and Mad dog for the MVP!!! Just because mad dog is reckless and doesn't think much about his teammates or the situation in this particular episode and Oikawa is able to use that to get points to the team, I go with Oikawa for the MVP.

Iwaizumi seems to save more balls than their libero, mans a machine. I honestly think Iwaizumi is match MVP for their team, never stands out more than mad dog or Oikawa, but arguably contributes more to the team than Daichi does (no hate to Daichi). Receives on point and is still their ace, so is far more of an attacking force. I think you could count the amount of points Daichi has scored up to this point (entire season 1 and 2) on one hand.
@sourasishseth2618 Жыл бұрын
Daichi is defensively better than Iwa, but Iwa has good defense and better attack, and there's the contrast between them, agree with the rest tho
@laurainathunderstorm8 ай бұрын
Strangely enough Iwa was not that defense focused in the s1 match frin what I remember, Watari was saving a lot, but I think that might've been to get the viewer used to him so that his toss was more effective, now that he has less narrative value he's not saving as much, I might be looking too much into it though but that's how it seems in my eyes.

4:38 The crazy cross shot Mad Dog did and the cross shot Bokuto does/Tanaka wants to do are very different. Since Mad Dog was running in at a complete angle like that, he pretty much has no choice but it hit it cross and can't hit a straight, so it narrows down his options. Bokuto/what Tanaka is going for is going straight toward the net and hit it at a cross angle like that. Since they're going straight they also have the option to hit it straight and not cross, which leaves the opponent blockers guessing which way its gonna come. Very different.

Just some simple rule lore... If the referees with the flags on the sidelines lift the flags up it's out. When they point into the field it's in. When the first referee (with the whistle) lifts both arms and his palms face its shoulders it's out. If he points into the field it's in. Love your reactions and always looking forward to it!

mad dog is like an evil version of hinata shoyo...and oikawa is just the better setter, making the decoy's role more effective by reading defenders like the setter of nekoma does.

One note as a long time (15ish years) volleyball player! I know Angelo got mad at Mad Dog hitting the ball straight at Tanaka, but that’s real. Blowing away your opponent, forcing them to miss a dig when you could easily just score, is part of the game, to break down the opponents mentally. No different than trash talk or stare downs you see in any competition, and ESPECIALLY on serve receive at high levels, ripping serves/hits directly at players to force them to shank the ball and bring them down is used all the time. If you don’t use it, the more you lower your own chances of winning, the higher the skill level goes. It seems scummy, but it’s a crucial part of the mental aspect of the sport. EDIT: here’s a link to a compilation of serves by one of if not the best outside hitter (wing spiker) in the world ripping nothing but 130km/h serves, the second serve being directly at and acing a libero. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmjWdot9r7RjZ6csi=omWbzWGZ3PoF7AOk

I like the "Iwaizumi is alpha" - Seijoh is often considered to be the "wolf team" even if they never really show the visualization. It is alluded to a bunch of time including this episode. Regarding setting out - at high level you need to go for risky serves. Serving it out but putting your back into it is generally better than allowing an easy recieve since you at least had a chance to gain advantage. Thats why Yamaguchi got yelled at by coach Ukai earlier too. Both Oikawa and Asahi have a "spike serve" - they hit it mega hard and blast it with power. At that strength, the control is just very hard. If it goes in tho, its devastating.

While Coach made a right decision with Suga, Mr. Refreshing himself should be the MVP on Karasuno side for thinking of a play/tactic against Mad Dog and also for that Sychro-set to Kageyama ❤

I just wanted to add something about the plus-minus thing and its that even if u just get 1 point when your team has the serve, its considered as a plus because usually the team that receives the ball has better chance of winning the point cuz they attack first and thats why they call the serve point "break point" cuz it breaks usual rythm of back and forth points.

4:12 "back to basics" dont really apply here, coach ukai (and my coach as well) always says its better miss a serve when you trying to force a momentum than give a free ball serve (aka that second serve yamaguchi did at the last game) that only gets the other team a perfect pass to the setter and the ball making a hole on your side of the court :/ remember in volleyball is not wrong miss when you tryng to do right, you often see on professional games the players miss a serve tring to force an ace

Mad Dogs cut shot, although called the same, is not like what Bokuto or Tanaka are doing. Neither of them run parallel to the net.
@rasna2212 Жыл бұрын
It's the same kind of shot, they just do different things to execute it, and Mad Dog's angle is sharper due to him running parallel to the net. But it's the same kind of shot.
