I watched the review in question & had nothing to say only because I typically play Dominion online & I would never buy the physical game. I didn't see the need to point that out so I refrained from commenting. Personally, I don't think BGG is all that it is cracked up to be. There are some incredibly smug know-it-all types on there that I have no desire to engage with. Some ppl really do take themselves & this hobby way too seriously....that is the lesson to be learned, imo. Brush it off, bro....I enjoy watching your vids & hope you'll continue!

I have been watching for a few months now, and as a game designer I think you do a good job reviewing games. Always stick to what you feel and believe. There can be alot of rude people on BGG as I have found in the past. I enjoy your reviews, keep up the good work. I may contact you about reviewing one of my games in the near future.

I'm still beside myself at how unnecessary and rude the first comment was. Also, as a reviewer you simply can't make every review work for every viewer. You try to cover your bases as much as you can and then throw it out there for the public to see. Sometimes the so called experts of certain games are the harshest critics of reviews of those games and it really comes off as just gatekeeping. Keep doing what you do, Jason. People are buttheads. Don't be those people.

I skipped the vid bc I don't have Dominion. But I'm surprised about those jerky comments because your reviews are always no nonsense bare bones info. No worries, there are always gonna be Debbie Downer's chiming in.

Yeah. Most people don’t love Dominion like that except the Dominion gate keepers. Mostly I am just surprised that my tepid video drove comments like that.

Yeah, stay you - Dominion players might want a card-by-card comparison to the meta and how it interacts with this particular card in Alchemy and that change in 2nd ed. Intrigue.

dude, got into the board game world late, driven by COvid. You have been one of my mainstays for learning about/checking out new and classic games. You always present well, have well organized thoughts, and give an honest assessment. What more can be asked for? My guess is some people take this personal, as if reviewers were paid by their taxes. They forget many reviewers are just hobbyists enjoying board games as any of us do. 😅

Do you enjoy board games? Do you enjoy creating the reviews? If you enjoy playing the games and sharing your thoughts about the games, then continue what you're doing. Maybe it's a small niche. Maybe with time and continued effort, the channel will grow. What ultimately matters is that you enjoy doing what you are doing. Ignore the negativites. There will always be negativites.

I do enjoy all those things. I dont care about growth. I just do this for fun. I like talking about games that I like. I just thought the comments were interesting as I haven’t ever had a video that was so controversial before so I wanted to point it out.

So I don’t mean to be rude. But your reviews are not that good. There were times where I’ve liked for review in games, and I’ve found some of yours. I was looking for more deeper thoughts, but most of the videos were how to play the game and the last minute was any sort of review. I wish that minute was like 10 times longer 😂. To be fair, a lot of review videos are structured this way.
