I have a 1995 OM606 diesel. 250,000, still drives like brand new. 700 miles to a tank for the highway. Keep up with the maintenance!! It will last decades!!!

@brad5150able is your vehicle a Euro version? If so, where do you source parts for your vehicle? I have a colleague that needs replacement control arms and the bushings that go along with it. Thanks

Nice video. My neighbor has 3 W124 at this time, and I bet he will buy more as he finds them. The one we are working on now, his newest purchase, was bought as a parts car. During the last few days I have replaced a faulty alternator(Diodes), and cleaned electrical contacts of fuses and other electrical connections. Every day we have more and more working as it should. I see it as potentially being roadworthy again. So far this is a very nice car to work on.

I’m fortunate to own one here in Australia, since 2001. 89 ‘300E M103 with 335k’s. Amazing.

Ese es el mejor auto de tooooda la historia del automóvil. Mi padre tiene un 123 coupe 5 cilindros diesel. Son increíblemente buenos. Solo tienen lo que necesitan para ir y venir, siempre...

Just 173NM of torque? So what’s the point of the diesel if a 200 makes more torque?
@abriatus Жыл бұрын
Exactly, as it hasn’t got a turbo it hasn’t got much torque, even though it is a diesel. The primary advantage is fuel consumption; diesels don’t use nearly as much fuel
