This is definitely my favorite series in the mcu. The comedy fits each character. Edit: I just noticed Elden ring! I just finished that!

More than any other films in the MCU, the Guardians movies are about *family.* The group of bald guys to whom Stan Lee is reporting are The Watchers. Some of the oldest and most powerful beings, but they’ve sworn to not interfere in the matters of “lesser” beings…except when sometimes, they do. Peter’s grandfather (who was with Meredith and other family in the hospital when she was dying in the first film) is briefly in this (in the blue car at 47:09 ), when the “Expansion” takes place at the same Dairy Queen shown in the beginning of this one.

43:40 A running joke with Mantis is that she always wipes out. If they jump from a cliff, everyone will land feet-first and she’ll hit headfirst and bounce a few times. Very funny once you notice it.

If you love baby Groot in this movie you should check out the I am Groot series and despite it being released in phase 4 of the MCU timeline. The series takes place in between volume 1 and volume 2 of the guardians of the Galaxy films. You should watch I am Groot right now and it won't pull anything going forward.

@@ronweber1402 No accounting for taste .. glad you enjoyed it, the plot all over the place and I just could not give a @#$% about any of the characters (even Rocket as much as I enjoyed his char previously) as it droned on. Tripe and over used story tropes. The first was great, second was OK to meh and this last one was a snore fest IMO. Again, glad you enjoyed it but I felt it bland and a snooze fest... One thing I do agree with.. is that it was a welcome buh bye to the series ~

I think Guardians of the Galaxy is the best trilogy in the MCU with Captain American being a close second.

They kept Drax's durability on par with the comics, he's indestructible, being in the class with the highest rating in Marvel. His strength has varied throughout the comics, but he would never be beaten by Ronan as in the first film. He killed Thanos in the comics.

Just posting this before watching. This should be good! I like the humor. The Guardians of the Galaxy movies are among my favorites in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, along with the Deadpool and Ant Man movies.
