I love Quill’s reaction to Ego’s confession. No attempt to listen to Ego’s excuses, no Luke Skywalker style “NOOO”, just shooting that jackass in the face repeatedly
@5calambres2 жыл бұрын
To be fair, luke was defeated already and as a jedi trying to resist falling into hate what was palpatines plan all along. That is just a really bad example to compare.

This is the exact same reaction to the loss of gamora he had. He's quick to react, he's just like that. A head empty no thought dude. He doesnt need to get SO much hate for Infinity war, especially since chris pratt's also faced negative comments. I know when in civil war tony reacted in rage the universe was not at stake, but when it's about losing somebody you love the universe's concept leaves your mind. The star-lord hate is getting old and so unnecessary.

FINALLY somebody appreciates this movie. Most emotional marvel movie. AND funniest at the same time
@5calambres2 жыл бұрын
My favorite mcu movie. But i have some backstory to it. At the comic con Dublin, michael rooker (yondu) was there and at the foto session all fans waited in line to make a picture with him. I was dressed up as a sith lord from star wars and Rooker disarmed me and took my lightsaber then he run along the line of fans waiting and killed them all (everybody played along) and then he was so hyped about my costume that he pushed the employee to make some additional pictures of us for free. He is just pure fun to be around.

I'm going to assume Yondu's funeral hits especially hard to anyone like me who lost their dad. I lost mine 15 years ago when I was 20 and the thing that saddens me the most is that I was a teenager during the last years of his life. I don't regret being a typical teen, always going against my parents. I still think that's what you're supposed to do and if you're not doing it then you're doing teenaging wrong. But I guess it makes me sad that he never got to see me grow out of it. Never saw me as an adult using the things I learned from him, knowing he did the right thing, and that, as dismissive as I might have appeared to be, I was actually listening. He died during a time of my life when "thank you" wasn't in my vocabulary, and when it finally was, it was too little too late. So yeah, Star-Lord's eulogy makes me cry every single time. My dad was far from being like Yondu. He didn't need redemption in any way, shape or form. He didn't even need to apologize for anything. He just needed to die without having to dig too much into old memories to find the last time his son told him he loved him. I didn't give him that, but I hope I didn't need to and he just knew it. So, if your parents are good parents, even if you're an angsty teen like you should be and saying the words feels kinda lame... find a way to let them know. A non-lame way that doesn't diminish your rebellious spirit. Wait. No. F*ck that. Just tell them you love them, like a f*cking adult. Or tell them "thank you for everything you do". If you're not used to saying it, like me, it will sound cringy wether you're a teen or an adult, but that's the sacrifice you'll have to make: sounding lame so your parents can get a little appreciation for the money, time, love and mental health they spent on you. That's the toll your rebel ego has to pay, but believe me, there's nothing better for the ego that making your mom and dad smile. Take it from someone who wishes his last hundred words to his dad sounded a little less "whatever" just because he thought he had millions of words left.

Mark 39:13. A quick FYI! From the official RPG sets of both, "DC" & "Marvel". (Ahem. It's been awhile though.) "Omnipotence" & "Magic", aren't the same. Lower beings that learn the Skills, "Witchcraft" or "Sorcery", can wield Magic by tapping into an Omnipotent Being. That's why when casting Magic Spells, a lot of begging occurs. 🤓

Mark 20:16. "Raining men"! Haha! There is an episode of Gil Gerard's, "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century", in which, Buck, acted as the legal defense for, Hawk. The gist of his defense was that since, Hawk, was not a member of, Mankind, then the Laws of Man, don't apply. Buck, won! Since then, at least one male character that I recall, had to clarify that he is still of the male gender, even if he isn't a, "Man"! 😂😅. 24:05 @See Jane Go TV, What did Gamora want to do in the first movie? She wanted to defeat Thanos. She remembers what he did to her mother and people, she never forgot. She did what she needed to survive, which was kill, but she also made sure to win because Thanos looks down on those who lose--you saw what he did to Nebula. Gamora had her sights set on gaining enough strength to defeat Thanos and avenger her people. That's it. She didn't care about those around her, she never saw them as her family. Nebula looked up to Gamora. They were both in a horrible situation, and she tried to make the best of it by befriending Gamora and being sisterly, but Gamora paid her no mine, as she kept her eyes on the prize. Their situation is pretty f'ed up, but certainly understandable. It worked out in the end, but still horribly sad ='( EDIT: Peter doesn't have the power anymore, but her still has Ego's DNA. He's not just a regular human. As he's the offspring, he's not a source of power, like his father. At least he doesn't know how to be. Towards the end of the movie, he learned to control the power, which shocked his dad, so who knows what he might be able to do in time. Either way, he still has the DNA of a Celestial, so he's not just human.

Stan Lee being The Watcher was a fan theory, since he was in all the movies. It's one of the sillier fan theories, but his cameo in this was James Gunn acknowledging the theory, and jokingly making him an agent of the Watcher or Watchers. I thought there was only one of the Watcher, but add it to cannon, lol. Technically the Watcher doesn't need to be told stories, so they must have been imposters.
