Not a fan of using Unreal Engine to have a bad interface with the onboard computer drawing probably 150W or more for a gimmick. But that's nothing compared to the number 1 gripe I have with recent cars: 👏 Stop 👏Putting 👏Tactile 👏Buttons 👏Everywhere 👏, we need to focus on the road! Buttons shouldn't need to be looked at to be pressed correctly!

Surely you mean you want more tactic buttons, like an old school button is the most tactic 😁 Haptic feedback to touchscreen buttons mostly suck though, it's a worse technology, like you said if you can't use it without looking it's not good in a car.

I think it looks a bit of a mess really. Trying to make it a Grand Touring but it's not really practical. Limited the boot for more passenger space but that high floor makes rear seats very uncomfortable? Tech all over for no real point, like those doors, that swiveling screen and non-capacitive buttons for the windows. It really feels like they just went from concept to production without much fine tuning. No matter, there is a reason why most have never heard of this car. This company has only been around for 7 years or so. I doubt it'll ever be sold outside China.
@armandsimonis7992
@armandsimonis7992 Жыл бұрын
For the western market this car is terrible bad. For the Chinese market however it is a different story. Smaller people on average so the high floor much less an issue. The passengers' space in the back is very important in the Chinese market because it gives it a very luxerious image - like it is meant for a high-end businessman with a driver in front. I would never buy this car - a few nice ideas but mostly very user unfriendly for my western taste and needs.

@@shadymerchant3456 "I always criticized Tesla for not having a gauge cluster because I think it's unsafe to have to look away from the road" That is what I was responding to, and pointing out that there is no need to look away if there is in fact a HUD. It is also capable of things a gauge cluster isn't, such as AR overlays. You say a HUD is no substitute for a gauge cluster, but I think that very much depends on how comprehensive the HUD is. Or is there some physical or technical aspect you dislike about HUD's that you feel makes them less capable?
@shadymerchant3456
@shadymerchant3456 Жыл бұрын
@@stephen-boddy Not less capable, necessarily, but you wouldn't want to have TOO MUCH information on your windshield. I have a HUD. I like it. Some things should be on the gauge cluster. Closer than taking your eyes all the way off the road, but not on the HUD. Also, I take it back, yes a HUD can SOMETIMES be hard to see depending on conditions outside the car, so yes, it's slightly inferior. It's a useful tool, but not a replacement for a gauge cluster.
