@@edwardnygma8533 Due to being a TM ever since it was introduced (and in fact, being TM *exclusive* before anything ever learned it by level up), Grass Knot is a move that can be learned by a substantial quantity of Pokemon that are simply not Grass type, such as Raticate, Raichu, Alakazam, Xatu, and whatever others I can't be bothered scrolling down to on Bulbapedia's list. These pokemon are not the grass. Grass Knot has always been able to be learned by these pokemon. Why does it count as contact?
