In ancient societies (even long after prehistory), it was actually a whole thing to keep permanent fires because of how much of an ordeal it is to start them. It is lot easier to keep a hearth burning in your home perpetually than it is to light it every day.

Auroch are the ancestors to modern day cows! They're obviously very much extinct now, but they were HUGE. Like, twice or thrice the size of modern cows, or something ridiculous like that. So, nice touch for the mod to change the mobs!

there are some pretty cool modpacks that use this mod and others similar, actually. its quite fun. Definitely JEI helps a lot though when all the recipes are changed, so you dont have to scratch your head and trial and error your way through thousands of recipes

If you enjoyed this, I’d suggest playing a modpack called ‘sevtech ages’. It goes through all the ages and, while it can be confusing at first as you’re thrown in the deep-end with no information, you start similarly to this by picking up stones, smashing them to make flint and then rudimentary tools and you have to dowse for ores, eventually you can even get to the moon! It’s really cool but is kind of labourious and confusing at times, especially the beginning. I would recommend checking it out if you liked this, it’s on the ATLauncher if you have that, but it takes quite a lot of time to get far in the mod (it also has eldritch enemies from H.P. Lovecraft’s mythos if that intrigues you).

I like the idea of this mod, like how the recipes are more complicated and you actually have to put thought and time into making things, but some of the ways to get there a bit poorly thought out. If you’re using iron for stone recipes, it’s a bit backwards.

Love you Kevin, but feeling the new editing is a little OTT / jarring (the amount of gifs and sound effects, not your skits), and it's starting to detract from your own natural hilarity! Seems like you may have had an eye procedure and are dealing with photosensitivity, but we'd all be happy with fewer or shorter videos with less padding, as long as you're looking after your health first. :-)
