I’m right at the start, but Colleen’s comment had me immediately screaming “Rihanna has a personal assistant!” I could do everything preggers if I’d had infinite money and help, too. Instead, I leaned into being a potato. Which is what I think all pregnant people should have the choice to do if they want or need.

Colleen’s reaction to people disagreeing with her post was WILD. The fact that she started saying “you’re not my people .” “Unfollow me.” To her followers/customers and fans is funny, cause they weren’t even hating on her, they just didn’t like the way that the post pushed a toxic hustle culture. Colleen does not appear to be empathetic at all. She can have an opinion all she wants but the fact she wouldn’t allow others to have a different opinion shows she has no desire to understand anyone else. I can’t believe that “working your business” is more important then living life. Colleen dear, I truly hope you see and learn a different way to love. The other thing that is astonishing to me is that through all this she feels that she is the leader and setting the example of how to live life. Yikes! Perspective is important, self reflection is imperative for a life that is full, joyful and balanced.

Also, I really feel she's out of touch in how current social media functions. These days if you get flagged for being toxic people might hate-watch you or whatever but they won't follow and, most importantly for her "biz", they will *not* get people to join you. The "omfg I'm so edgy" vibe isn't as acceptable or liked even on the internet anymore as it used to be, these days it's going to drive people away. Plus, she praises Rihanna first and then puts her down by saying she didn't even give her "best performance", so she just sounds like even more of a bully.

I left doterra because I got pregnant and had morning sickness so bad that I couldn't be in the same room as my oils because they would trigger vomiting. As much as I wanted to "work my business" I just couldn't do it. My upline became so nasty about it and told me I wasn't trying hard enough because the oils would completely get rid of the nausea not make me sicker. Their rude attitudes to my very exhausted and sick issues completely turned me off. Just because Rhianna could do it, doesn't automatically mean everyone can do it.

To me, Colleen falls into the same category that many people who call themselves "coaches" fall into... She claims to have all the answers to share with other people, but no one can ever teach her anything. She's someone who will just double-down on whatever opinion she has expressed without ever tempering that opinion or acknowledging other people's points. This is precisely the sort of person I am incapable of respecting. Like Jesse Lee, Colleen truly seems to believe her own press that all the people who follow her are just lowly minions who aren't working hard enough. It's just sad that this sort of approach actually hooks a lot of women in who really are ready to believe that there is something wrong with them and that they're just not trying or working hard enough. I would love for us to get to a place as women (as a group) where most of us can recognise that when someone tries to make us feel less than, the problem is with them not us. True constructive feedback/advice does not need to tear someone down.

I was having major health scares with my baby when I was pregnant the entire time and I was going it alone thanks to 2020. Even if it was happening for me now I probably would have to had to do it alone now because my husband works.
