balt, the door open because they're supposed to form "wings" in the robot mode, that's just part of the chratacter's design also I perfectly understand you not caring about this figure but you transformed it in a way that might push it to breaking - the armature defo is supposed to spread to the side (and back for the hood) more before being put into their place, especially that leg tab - that /may/ also make you more frustrated at it than necessary. heck, i don't remember you not liking the elita-1 fig /this/ much in your review so this was quite a surprise lol

Before this Strongarm's best toy was her weaponizer which was mostly a glorified core class. I always thought if that figure was upscaled and painted better it would be a pretty good deluxe that actually matches her show model pretty close.

Strongarm's conversion in the show proper is WAAAAAAY more interesting. Her chest is the front of the truck and her arms make the light bar. She really deserves a toy that actually works like that, maybe eventually Masterpiece will do it right.

I hate this mold, too. I really thought I'd love Elita-1 but she just doesn't do anything "cool" imo. Very average, and since the QC on mine is poor, I'm dropping her to below average. Love Strongarm, dig the tiny figure we got a ways back, so I was stoked to see we were getting a new deluxe version until I saw it on this buck. Interesting how divisive this mold is.

I think the title is a bit of an exaggeration! But the video was mostly fair. There is a much easier way to transform her but if you followed the instructions there's no arguing - she is finicky to get into alt mode. The plastic is a weird one. I have exceptional colour vision and I think the plastic is all one tone, but it seems to shift depending on the angle of light. At some angles it has a striking punk hue, at others it's a feint yellow. Whereas the paint is an obvious blue shade. The best toy of her other than this is the 2015 TAV52 Battle pack (preferably in Takara Tomy colours). They could have just upscaled that, closed the shoulders in a little, and she'd pass as a Legacy Deluxe.

Thank you. I like the first responder figures like Prowl and the Protectabots and actually enjoyed RID (it was just a light adventure without Optimus for a change, and wasn't about the world about to end every week). So I thought about this one but you helped me save the money and frustration by skipping it. Also, I'm so tired of the plastic quality they've been using. It's sad when the figure feels more like a knockoff than the mainline company.

Can you do kinder egg transformers that could actually transform, and they are not even transformers branded? Because I saw some of them on eBay. There was an orange jet and a blue jet that could transform, a transformable boat a transformable bulldozer, and there was also vehicles that could turn into animals.

7:25 Now that kinda sucks because again I like this version better than the one I have. Better robot design, transformation and vehicle mode. The designs should have made the gun placement on the back of the truck a little higher or have the gun transform in the way like an actual turret like that of a certain Optimus Prime (the Takara version with no trailer and have the transformable turret to assault rifle).

Honestly I don't see that this mold has that big of a problem. It's certainly a far cry from ER Arcee, and Elita-1 wasn't a bad figure either. IDK, Balt, I think we're gonna just agree to disagree, because I'm not seeing where your hatred is necessarily coming from. Normally you and I are pretty level opinion-wise on figures, but I guess this is where we aren't.

The head is the ONLY thing on this figure I like at all. Aside from that, this is a total failure as Strongarm. All of the proportions are off. And outside of having ankle tilts, for everything it does better than the old Warrior Class figure, it has something that it does worse. The door wings are the worst. They're a defining feature that the designers went out of their way to include, but they're so tiny you can't see them at all unless you turn her around! Hard offensive pass for me. I'd rather take the time to design and 3D print a custom upgrade kit for the previous figure. At least that one has a proper alt mode that actually looks like the truck she is supposed to be instead of the one-seater El Camino the new one ended up with. And I agree, they need to stop making every fembot small.

Dude, you need to start looking over instructions before you do do these reviews, cause it seems you have been missing core details on these figures, that end up skewing your perception on these guys... Wether that be a mistransformation, or just details you miss that are core features for a charicter... Dont want to be negitive, but this issue seems to be more frequent as of late...

@@Jazzer995Well for starters, those are actually good toys. They also represent characters who actually share a body type. This one is just taking a bulky character, and forcing her into a skinny body. That's kind of offensive, to be honest.
