This game has been out over a year and Dice is insisting on going against the community's wishes on fundamental aspects of the game instead of polishing things and fixing broken aspects of the game or fixing the cheating problem. Same problem with the JU88 with the 75mm cannon. 90% of the hits just don't register and it does only 45 dmg maximum on other planes. Sometimes it doesn't register 100% of your hits if you land them on the same plane. It really ruins all the fun and that has something to do with recent updates. This wasn't broken but DICE fked up again.

Running the Mosquito with the 4000lb bomb on Panzerstorm is my favortie. You absolutely obliterate any tank or poor AA that you come across. I love baiting the AA to reveal their position and then drop a nice present from high altitude for them.

The 4000lb bomb is amazing on a highly contested point. I think my most is a couple of tanks and about 15 kills in one bomb. It also means you just hit a tank twice with the 6lb, and then drop the bomb on it

The mosquito cannon used to do damage against planes, and when I saw that it stopped doing damage I got sad because the mosquito and ju 88 C were my favourite planes for air to air combat, Its very annoying to not be able to kill any planes anymore and wish dice would revert that change, because I don't see what was wrong with cannons on the planes. Stuka and ju 88 C cannons don't do damage either, I don't know what caused it but I have a feeling it's the hitbox shrink that they did to nerf the fliegerfaust

You should have seen what this plane was like when it got released. Holy shiii. The cannon was almost pointless because the 4000b bomb reloaded instantly, dropped like a stone and was basically a v1. If you didn't get over 80 kills per game minimum you were doing something wrong.

For ppl that want to know, a 6pounder (6pdr) is a 57mm cannon Similar gun to the one used on the early Churchill tanks.

4000 lb. bomb has such a big blast, so you need to make sure you drop it at a much higher altitude or the blast will throw your tail into the air and you will nose dive into the ground. Also, it drops a lot slower than the regular bombs so you need to lead a moving target more than usual.

If the hit registration worked like it used to, that tank cannon absolutely destroyed planes. Most planes were either 2-3 shot kills with it. But like most other things in this game, dice ruined it.

That´s the plane that gave me the last achievement; Death from Above. You do shot down planes quite easy with the cannon, first you have to line up and fly in a straight line behind the other plane then you spray them just a short burst is needed then you finish them of with the cannon.

I like the 4000 pd bomb, the one hit on tanks is good, means in a strafe on Panzerstorm you can kill two tanks in a single strafe pretty easily. Sometimes the splash damage is enough that you can get a couple of tank kills at once (more often than with other bomber loadouts) if the tanks are close enough. It's an absolute beast on Panzerstorm

Oh, the splash damage is enough that it's easy to kill yourself if you're not careful pulling up, so it's best used from far away, the reach of the damage is enough that there is more leeway when it comes to accuracy.

You're gonna love using the 4000lbs bomb. Strafe + 4000Lbs bomb is perfect for taking out the Tiger in one pass, or taking 2 tanks or more in the supply station. Just watch out for the blast of the 4000lbs on the ground (don't be too close of the ground, otherwise your tail will be kicked up, and the plane will be directed to the ground).

The 4000 lb bomb is very effective if it is used properly. However, because of the high blast radius, you must pull up from your strafe early before dropping it or else the blast behind you will push the back of you plane into the air and cause you to crash.

I sometimes need 4 or 5 shots for a fighter and from behind i never do damage and the canon of the ju88 c did a one shot to fighters everytime but now it only does 45 damage if the shot even connects

The Hispano mg the JU88C has is super devastating. So is the upgraded passenger gun. The 6 pounder dusting planes is a bug introduced in 5.2. When it works as intended, they’re very effective vs planes (when you hit your shots of course). 4000lb bomb is decent again but sooooooo comically slow to drop.

I used to love smacking planes out of the air with the main cannon but I tried it again a few days ago and had the same experience with most rounds just dusting and if I got a hit it would be for 38 damage. The 4k bomb is great for stationary targets or static / slow moving tanks cause it takes a lot of time to hit the ground. It used to be better but they nerfed both the blast radius and the drop speed

The tank cannon used to be awesome, before the update. I used to run it alot and it would 2 shot any plane no matter what upgrades. And on top of that it used to actually register. I've heard some ppl talking about it being bugged, but I'm not confident DICE will do anything about it. The nerf dropped the damage down from about 60-80dmg per hit, to 32 per hit (on airplanes, this is not accurate for ground targets). I think it was intentional for the nerf, but not the failed registry of projectiles.

Silk, it is a bug that the 6 pdr. doesn't do any damage to airplanes. At least that's what I think. It has been going on for about a week or two I think, but I've never had any problems with one- or two shotting enemy airplanes prior to this, and I've used this plane A LOT (about 3.000 kills with it, I think). But yeah, it should be a bug, otherwise they have changed it without telling anyone. Also - pleeease use the 4000 Ib. bomb from now on, now that you have it, because it's so painful watching the plane being used without it. It can litterally one-hit any tank. Biggest fan of yours!!

Silk the cannon is great against other planes, it's a bug on the trellis board atm that certain aircraft weapons don't do the correct damage against other planes. The 6 pounder can two hit a ju88

So the cannon not damaging planes properly is a plane hit box problem. It’s an issue with the 6pdr and the ju88c 75mm, it also happens frequently when you hit a plane with a tank cannon. Also kinda unrelated, the ju88 can out turn the mosquito so I’m not sure why you said it was inferior for dogfighting.

I find the 4K better for widespread attrition damage. Sapping health packs and breaking down buildings/fortifications. It's good for breakthrough but I don't find it worth an upgrade if you are flying on your own. Maybe if you coordinated with armor on the ground.

If you use the loadout with the upgraded engine for speed - it is quite hard for the 109s to chase it. I know you can't get the 4000lb'er with that loadout - not sure if you can have the cannon or not but if you can then that load out will suit you really well.

There's no plane in the game that can be hard to keep up with or outmanoeuvre the ME's, even with speed upgrade specs. They are just too nimble, you would be wasting an upgrade slot really and it would force you down the left path, indeed missing out on the cannon as well as the 4000lb. There's no real reason to use the MKVI as anything other than a dedicated tank/bomber buster. Sure it is capable of taking down less than great fighter pilots in an instant too, but if there are good enemy fighters in the air, then you still just have to take the Spitfire VA as the only real hope to counter them. If you want an infantry bomber then you take the MKI Blenheim with the 8x bombs, spot cam and explosive rounds.

@@IAmPez I don't do it but I have seen good pilots run the mosquito like that - they fly from spawn point to spawn point - they are bombing tanks and infantry and fly flat out where as the 109 you can use the nitro but it runs out quick. It's quite hard to keep up especially if you give it a head start. It doesn't outmaneuver 109s but it is fast.

I don't know why anyone is even bothered that the QF 6PDR has had it's damage nerfed vs planes. You should be running the MKVI with the increased RoF spec for the primary 4x .303 MG's anyway. They absolutely tear apart aircraft and probably have a very similar, or even perhaps a faster TTK than the cannon does. There was never any reason to waste the shells on planes. Maybe the JU-88 C is a slightly different story with it only having the upgrade to a single 20mm MG available, but the added power in the 75mm cannon and the spotting camera more that makes up for that.

How can you use planes a ton and not have use the Mosquito? Also the 4k bomb is absolutely and utterly overpowered btw. If you want to be an ass to tanks it's the best loadout period. 1 shots every tank in the game and 1 shots most even if you miss by miles. You have to be careful though you might anger a squad enough to spawn in 4 Ostwind AA's (2 is the minimum if you fly terribly) to take you down. In all seriousness this plane is the reason I despise playing on the German side since I only play tanks since the TTK update.

When I was a fighter the same happened to me with a match in Japan 12 hours after my plane landed. I could have argued the time difference, but guess what happened: I was a man and beat the shit out of the Japanese guy. Anyway, it would be also a great Marketing idea to see matches between content creators, and since I came up with the idea I'll get a cut. Imagine the audience. And could be extended for Infantry also. No matter the score.
