And I thought The Adventures of Robin Hood was extra. That's what made it fun though. Alan Rickman is the MVP and he carries this! RIP to the legend.

Small neat fact Alan Rickman turned down the role of the Sheriff twice before he was told he could more or less have carte blanche with his interpretation of the character. Credit to TV Tropes.

A couple of movies that I think you'd like are #kayrequests _The Three Musketeers_ (1993). Be advised, this also has Michael Wincott playing Captain Rochefort, another despicable villain. The second movie is #kayrequests _Silverado_ (1985), a fun action western with beautiful cinematography, an epic score, and an all star cast including a young Kevin Costner.

Wincott doesn't talk as much in it though. He plays it with more silent menace and then goes more over the top at the end, in a good way.

4:10 - I find it funny that you don't like Guy of Gisborne (Michael Wincott) because of his voice. That's one reason that I DO like him as an actor! He doesn't speak so much as he growls. He was great in Alien Resurrection (1997), and the 1993 version of The Three Musketeers in which he played the villainous Captain Rochefort.

If you don't like the actor that plays the sheriff cousins voice then you probably wouldn't like The Crow or Disney's The Three Musketeers. Though both are really good movies. I don't care for his voice either it sounds like he ate gravel for breakfast but once you get past that you know and just ignore how crappy his voice sounds. Still there good movies. I'd give it a shot and just react to both of them anyway.

Since you do not back away from old movies, I'd like to mention a Robin Hood comedy(/spoof?) from 1964, set during 1920s prohibition, I saw today; Robin and the 7 Hoods - with The Rat Pack. Also featuring Bing Crosby and with Peter Falk as a villain. A bit slow and aged, but still mostly fun. The best part being an impressive song and dance number by Sammy Davis Jr. portraying the trigger happy gangster Will (Scarlet I assume): kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWTEm5etgaeef9E He's so good with his guns that he can fire a single revolver about 16 times without reloading it. ;)

Whoa! This is NOT the cut of the movie that's out in the UK. I saw this in the cinema as a kid, and there's a moment near the end, 22:02 where Alan Rickman does a weird sort of, jumpy-leg thing to push marian's legs apart, that was cut from the UK release after it left the movie theatres. I had no idea it was still in the American version.

During the medieval period quarterstaffs where the foundation of any military training. England due to a lower population had to rely more on Common Soldiers rather than Knights and if fact starting with The reign of Henry II(father of King Richard, so the generation previous when the film is set) and a law called the Assize or Arms all free men where required to train with both the bow and arrow and the Quarterstaff in England. This would later be reinforced several times with new laws requiring it and 250 years later dueong the Hundred Years War between England and France, Common born English archers would defeat the nobility of France several times, specifically at Crecy,Potiers, and Agincourt.

oh man I so enjoyed this reaction! your reactions were priceless lol! this is my favorite adaptation of the story of Robin Hood! however I can tell you watched the theatrical cut rather than the directors cut lol! to kinda help shed some light on a few things that you seemed to not understand much, no offence lol! the character Duncan, sure he maybe useless, but from what I theorize, Duncan has been with the Locksley family for a long time, so I'm sure he probably looked out for Robin as a child, as well as helped raise him too, so in a way he's family! as for the reveal of Will Scarlet being Robin's half brother, it's short and quick so it doesn't bother me at all, but it fits in to help make sense of why he hates Robin so much! Alan Rickman (RIP) his performance really stands out in this film, he literally steals the show, definitely my all time favorite villain role of his! as for the music theme, it's very iconic and it always gives me chills every time I hear it, if it sounds familiar that's because it was used in a few Disney promotions from what I remember! #kayrequests if I may make a recommendation to another great film that I grew up with as a kid, I recommend "Willow" trust me, you'll love it! really enjoyed this reaction, keep it up :) oh and on a side note, if you don't mind me complimenting, I couldn't help but notice you looked very pretty with that hairdo, sorry had to say it lol! :)

I am so glad that you chose this chronology. You are truly ready for Men in Tights, now. You will definitely see why this movie was important, when watching Men in Tights. Your analysis was pretty accurate. The movie took itself way too seriously. Costner movies often do. HOWEVER, it's also one of the cases where it works pretty well, anyway. Don't wait too long. Keep this fresh in your memory, when watching Men in Tights. Alternately, you might give this one a recap, before watching Men in Tights - so you'll recognize some of the alternate scene takes. To me, it's rewatchable - not as much as other movies, but I have seen it more than once.

Is sadly reminiscent of bishop(s) talking ladies OUT of having a relationship with me. White Girl being with a man with Indigenous blood was offensive to them. "But he's the BISHOP! Scenes are spoofed and borrowed in a movies and shows beyond just Men in Tights. Which you'll enjoy more having seen this :) As you noticed, Disney stole the theme for their own intro. I will always relate New Line Cinema with that opening theme music and this movie in particular. I remember seeing this in the theater when it came out and kept going to see it because the theme song by Bryan Adams was an instant favorite! (plus he was my first concert experience waaaaay back!) Granted I've seen your videos in backwards order.. Count Of Monte Cristo and now this one... Michael Wincott who you despised watching... his most notorious villain role comes from #kayrequests The Crow (I have not seen any reactor watch that movie yet) side note... I was today years old when I realized at 22:45 ... Friar Tuck hands the Bishop 30 pieces of silver right before his death. 30 silver pieces was also what Judas received for betraying Jesus
