We didn't really know the name of that red fish so we would call it "Uncle Andre's fish". It's interesting to see how this works! When I was about 10 maybe 11 years old, my aunt got married and at there wedding was a hired magician who actually made my brother levitate from having him lay down on 4 chairs and slowly pulled out each one. I imagine the fish grows slightly in size, as he pointed out it's made of cellolose (?) which can absorb water (i.e. the sweat on your palm) and then expand slightly. SO when fully submerging it should expand entirely which would result in nothing happening
