Vibe is immaculate with this one. The weird animations before races, the car sounds and the plain aesthetic to the whole game. No bodykits or liveries, you just drive.

The game is still barebones and weirdly designed, no story, limited races for each car, and no customization, it has good aspects but it's dragged down by these things

@Supersonicspyro yeah that's true, but most of that was the fault of EA rushing Criterion and black box to get the game out no matter what. The game visually holds up to today, the sounds still hold up, the map itself is extremely fun and diverse without feeling repetitive, and the OST makes you wanna be at heat level 6 at all times. I really don't mind the lack of visual customization in the game as these cars aren't your personal garage, but yeah the story and especially the race variety are lacking

Two tips: you dont need to escape cops in order to enter the next race. Just pull out the D-Pad and select the race -> start the race. Also you dont need to drive to all the events constantly cuz most cars in the game share the same races. Just quickly start them from D-PAD. Second tip: Always change resolution when you enter the game and then change it back to your normal resolution that you usually play with because the game for some reason isnt rendering more grass and other bushes on mountains and everything that's off road(there should be more grass but the game is glitched up and not rendering it properly)

Slept on because at the time it was a reskinned Burnout with free roam and licensed cars. Hence why it's so forgettable. The nostalgia hasn't worked either. When I see this game today; I think Burnout. It was lazy and uninspiring.
