Good video, someone needed to say it. The amount of vlog channels that just decide to film abandoned or "haunted" places to milk it for the views is crazy. It ruins the reputation of the whole urban exploration community, including channels that actually like to document these locations for the historical aspect in a respectful way.

I think you really nailed it in comparing your filming involving bodies with Logan's. You filmed a body that was meant to be exposed because of cultural traditions and was invited to see it by a person involved in that culture. Logan filmed the body of a person who had committed suicide without permission from anyone, which is greatly disrespectful to that person's family and anyone else mourning them. You were sensitive and respectful whereas Logan exploited and sensationalized the suicide of a stranger.

Lucas Lake Vlogs You are clearly missing the point. One filmed for educational purposes and filmed with respect in mind while the other is acting like a monkey, an idiot. The other point is this monkey filmed a person's "last moment", of which, was likely the result of some traumatic life experience (hence the suicide). Third, he did put out a video to apologize but that video is worth absolutely nothing because first off, have you seen his letter? Full of narcissism at best. Second, a video is a product of countless hours of editing, which means he clearly must've rewatched the video/clips over and over again. Clips that were in the vlogs weren't random clips. They were specifically chosen to be in the vlog. Now, any human being with decency and empathy wouldn't think it would be a good idea to put this out there. Have you ever thought about the family, who gets to find out about that person's sad ending thanks to a vlog, of which an idiot is making a joke out of it? Put yourself in their shoes for a second and think.
@Domestic_Viruoso6 жыл бұрын
Lucas Lake Vlogs No but he can be respectful and not show the body maybe for example saying he can not show the body.

I always loved how Josh wouldn't ever disturb, vandalise or disrespect any of the buildings or places he visited. I've seen a lot of videos on KZbin where they think it's hilarious to smash and throw things inside or in the Logan Paul case, laugh and make jokes then claiming it to be "all respectful and that's just how I react." If you have that kind of stupid childish behaviour then you shouldn't be visiting places like that at all. I don't know. I have a lot of respect for people like Josh who just want to explore the history and bring awareness to the difference in cultures and times. Not a pathetic attempt to gain more money and fame, it's a shame the actual decent people don't get half as much as the recognition they deserve.

That's because he actually explores for the history of it. It doesn't take much pre-research to learn about a place, and know its significance. That's one of the things I love about Josh, is that he not only takes us to all these amazing places (that I am jealous as hell about because to be able to explore the world, its history, and make a living off of it would be a dream come true), but also does it in a respectful way, and teaches us as well

Lilith Page think of how many times youtubers go through a video to edit it. Let’s say it took him 2 times to go through his video and edit it. That’s 2 times he thought it was ok. That’s also a +1 time because he chose not to turn the cameras off.
@skittlesmash6 жыл бұрын
It wasn't just his laughing. They should have cut the footage and said " guys we found a body, but out of respect for the person their family - and youtube guidelines we have chosen to not film it" if he had done that I would have gained respect for logan. But as soon as I heard that he made a video about going to suicide forest, before I even heard of the drama I knew straight away that he would be obnoxious and disrespectful. He and Jake think they are above criticism

Lou Withers I have to appologize for my grammatic error, what i actually mean is that i have respect and admire youtuber's like Josh. Logan Paul is human waste in my opinion! Now i have removed my quotation marks.

You guys are both so mean to eachother like before none of you actually said anything offensive but you both insulted eachother for no reason. Muslims aren't psychopaths, that is being extremely ignorant but the other person should have probably not cursed at you either. Sorry for being annoying but please grow up.

I love how josh has respect for abandoned places and not trashing it or vandalizing it. I hate how some ppl on youtube do bad things in the abandoned place which i dislike that is why i like to watch his videos instead of other ppl that do abandoned places. Well other ppl to that do it too but not trashing or vandalizing the abandoned place.

You don't have to prove yourself to us! You've always been respectful in your videos. And yeah those bastards need to be called out. I hate how people ruin things. It's so awesome to find a place that's been frozen in time. I found an awesome place called "the landing" in Rincon Puerto Rico. I can't imagine what it looked like before people ruined it. It's the most amazing and magical place in the best little town in the world. Josh, you should explore Puerto Rico! There's so many awesome places there.

In all my years of being involved with urban exploration (and it’s been a loooong time, way longer than I’d like to admit... there are places that I’ve seen explored that I vividly remember being open), I always, ALWAYS went by the age old philosophy of “take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints”. You and your crew, The Proper People, Dan Bell, and a handful of others are living that truth, and I’m grateful for it. There’s definitely a lot of younger folks getting into it that just kind of piss me off, but I know there’s dudes out there like you guys that are doing it right, and I give you all the credit in the world for that. For someone like me who loves exploring so much, but will likely never get to see even a tenth of the places you’ve been able to document, it’s really great. Not trying to kiss anyone’s ass, but seriously, it’s appreciated. You and everyone else that I mentioned deserve the growth and recognition, you’ve earned the acclaim and views organically, and most importantly, you’re not perpetuating bullshit. Thanks for that, and thanks for making this video, especially as someone who a lot of these younger cats look up to. Maybe it’ll set some of the straight.

Honestly, I respect exploring with josh’s opinion on this out of anyone who has covered this topic. Not only because he has been to the Suicide forest but because he actually shows respect to everywhere he goes to. Thank you for making this video. Honestly

Thank you so much. When I first watched Logan's video about the Suicide Forest, I just wanted to comment and add you in as a perfect example of respect to your surroundings because Ive seen your Suicide Forest Documentary. You showed the most respect out of these youtubers and as a subscriber, im glad you do what you do and actually help people learn more about the places you've been to. Thankyou for being so Genuine and not doing it for numbers. You made a valid point.

Awesome points josh. I started making abandoned videos around two years after watching you and was very inspired by your videos, but tried to put my own twist. I try to make the videos informational and say in pretty much every video that if you go to abandoned places, do not take anything and do not vandalize. It is very sad that these places are being destroyed
@moomoo46096 жыл бұрын
I saw your video and it was nothing like Logan Paul’s. any of your subs would know that you would have never filmed a hanging man and made a joke of it. When you have shown bodies it has been to show the countries culture

I like you. You're doing this with respect and dignity. I love old places, there's something romantic about them; you can feel the history in your soul (I would love to visit more of these types of places myself). I appreciate that you made a video about this issue, people destroying these locations, exploiting them for views and being disrespectful is just so sad. You don't do these things, that's why I like you and your channel.

A month late only cause I got sick of hearing about Paul Logan constantly, but I seriously love how you approach locations, the level of respect you show is awesome. You try to understand another countries culture rather then showing dishonor to them and then bringing dishonor to our country. Honestly lately I've been hearing Paul Logan is coming back to KZbin, cool I really don't care cause I never watched his channel to even begin with, but I seriously hope he learned something important, I really do and wish him the best of luck. Something else I want to point out, there's a huge difference and level of maturity from the true urban explorer community, and those of the copycat "do it for views" Paul Logan type of communities. It always makes me sad when you go somewhere and the place has been trashed or vandalized by said "Urban Explorers", and even in some of your videos you have brought that up before. All in all I think you and the rest of the Exploring Crew you run with have built your selves an amazing community. Which honestly is a pretty damn big achievement here on KZbin, considering how many toxic communities plague this site.

Finally someone said it! Thanks Josh for putting this out there! :) I get really annoyed when other youtubers don't shout out the people who gave them the idea of going to certain places like fair enough I don't mind you going to places other people go but at least shout them out. I love seeing abandoned places and videos but a lot of it just gets destroyed by graphite like come on people. Don't get me wrong a lot of the graphite looks really good but not at abandoned places.
