There’s a website called 2nd Vote dot com that reports on various companies and reports on their activities and who they contribute to. They say not to buy cars from any car company but Land Rover because other companies are in the tank with causes that are overwhelmingly liberal. Land Rover is the only company they recommend because it is neutral. They concentrate on building cars and not on activism. Nice but Land Rovers are junky cars.

Scotty Kilmer I have a 2005 Toyota Avalon. Bought it 10 years ago, one owner trade-in at the dealer. I have put over 200k on this car and use it for a work car. It has close to 260k on it now and has been a dream. No major maintenance. I now drive over 40k a year for work and service it regularly. Still rides and drives perfect. Should I keep it and drive it for all it’s worth or look for a new or newer Avalon? Andrew W, in Kentucky

Scotty! I have a question. What’s your opinion on Lexus lifetime transmission fluid particularly in the 2011 ISF and 2010 rx350. My isf has 89k miles and the rx350 has 129k with over 35k trailer miles with 3k lbs begind it through mountain ranges in my cross country trips. As a mechanic of 20 years I’ve always believed in transmission services but every Lexus dealer I call turns down the service. Would you follow the directions of Lexus Or flush/drain and fill?

@ Scotty I have a 2003 Honda Accord coupe 2.4 automatic k24, 176,000 miles. On a cold start the transmission hesitates to shift into drive then from first to second gear. It works fine if I let the engine warm up. I was advised to not change out the transmission fluid but to take it to a transmission specialist for diagnosis. What do you think?

Hey scotty I've been watching your videos for a bit. And I'm curious I own a 1997 honda passport. 273,461 miles on it. I bought it used. When I bought it, it had 192,000 somthing on it. And now out of nowhere my front main seal in the transmission is out so I cant drive my favorite rig anymore. Is it worth my time getting the transmission rebuilt?

The passport was an Isuzu Rodeo if I'm correct. That's a crazy amount of miles for that vehicle.

Hey Scotty, I have a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 with 177,000 miles and the low battery voltage light is on, the battery is 3 years old. What should I do?
@human1513
@human1513 5 жыл бұрын
Scotty's usual response is: Clean the battery connections if you can & make sure the drive belt is ok and snug. If light is still on then take it to a place like Autopro....as they can check the battery & the alternator in about 2 minutes, usually for free. Plus that is what I would do and I am a licenced mechanic but do not have the newer testing tools at home & am retired.
