True. Most people who are into these kinds of cases for their builds have their own choice of brands for fans. I had Fractal, Silverstone, LianLi cases in the past and never used the fans that came with them(maybe with the exception of the 180mm AirPenetrators from Silverstone). I never judge the costs of a case based on the included fans, more like on available mounting options.

btw, a simple mod I did to the LL o11 mini, to make room for the bottom 360 rads, I mounted my ITX in the middle case standoffs, & used the vert GPU mount as the top back panel (no filler in the top), so I had to cut a square out of the vert gpu mount so the motherboard i/o would fit (this was the big mod), this raises the gpu giving the bottom 360 & fan room to breathe under the vert gpu mount. My plan still is to also cut away a lot of the shelf on the vert gpu mount & use a upside down shelf bracket as what holds the GPU, but it is going to need to wait until next time I do a cleaning. used white duct tape to cover the hole I had left over from extension for the motherboard i/o, also used the white duct tape to wrap the sides of my rads, you can't tell if they're painted or it its duct tape, good time saver, doubly so if you get a color match. if you're into PC modding, get yourself a few copies of the right drill bit size, & a tap, used to cut threads. Lets you mount anything anywhere, or move a radiator a needed fraction of an inch so it clears the ram. It is 6/32 is the common PC screw size, & get the same 6/32 tap size. Also something I use are Button Head Torx Tamper Resistant Screws, they do IMO look damn good in a build. Doubly so on a water block or water reservoir distro block, just make sure you get a few of the screwdrivers with that key'ed on its tip, Home Depot has them, & you can always make sure they fit together. Tamper Resistant Screws w/ matching screwdrivers, there is no real reason for you to think you need them, but then again I used bolt cutters to remove the dumb latch style 'locks' I had on my dog's leashes & use two locking D Rings, one on their collar, & one on their harness. I learned if you let little kids pet your dogs when you are out with them, the kids are going to want to set them free to play with them off their leash. I & a g/f each had a dog in Home Depot, she was talking to a friend she ran into & their kid unhooked the dog's leash, while I was getting what we were there for at the other side of the huge store when I looked down to see I had both dogs, I looked down to see I only had one leash ... so went looking for the girlfriend, she was still where I left her 10 feet away from the front door(yes lucky dog did walk out of it), she was still talking to her friend while holding an empty dog leash, she hadn't even noticed... & her friends little girl was also missing. She never again walked any of my dogs, never let her drive my truck, when I think back on it, it was the reason we ended. So yes, I had a g/f that loosened a couple normal torx head screws on one of my water blocks to cause a water leak to kill my gaming computer so I'd spend more time watching sitcoms with her like 'Sex in the City', she ended up being an ex g/f not for doing this, the loosened screws never leaked, but that she liked 'Sex in the City'. Also make sure to lock the desk drawer with your Button Head Torx Tamper Resistant Screwdrivers. And seup a cheapy wyze camera (one that you reflashed all of the wyze fairmware crap off of, & set up your own security server to record your smart not-wyze cameras, MotionEyeOS running on a rapberry pi does the job.

They specifically say the Y40 and Y60 are for liquidcooling, so the idea of making space for large tower coolers just isn't what they're considering. That said I think both of these could be notably improved with a redesigned I/O panel that lets you optionally reconfigure the expansion slots to allow for full-size horizontal cards. I don't particularly like vertical GPUs, in terms of not only appearance, but also working with the system (NVMEs, headers on the bottom of the mobo, etc) and for airflow.

I prefer 140mm fans. If they widened the case a little they could fit one on the rear exhaust and maybe get full length PCI slots too. Probably also a 140 floor intake and a 280 rad in the roof. I also don't like the gaps above the PCI slots. It screams "cost cutting" and doesn't belong on any case over $100. I'll let the lack of rubber grommets slide as the vertical GPU probably hides the holes. Otherwise it's a good case with good airflow and dust filtration and great views. I don't mind the lack of storage as you can hide SSDs under the shroud and I use a NAS for storage.

It looks great but I have some issues with it. It's a little disappointing that there aren't any 3.5" bays in the basement and that it uses a combo audio jack in the front IO instead of dedicated mic/headphone jacks but neither of those are a huge issue. Having integrated dust filters instead of removable and only vertical GPU mounting are deal breakers though. The price is a bit much but I can understand where it comes from.

The HYTE Y60 and Y40 come with a splitter for the audio jack. I was disappointed when my new Phanteks G500A didn't come with one given it also uses a front combo jack. Also the Y40 lets you mount a 3.5 HDD to the 2x2.5 SSD bracket thing in the back. You have to pick one or the other, but realistically you should probably be using NVMEs directly on your motherboard, and if you do HAVE to use an old 2.5" SSD, you can just sit it loose amongst the cables and not worry about it because vibration and mounting angle aren't an issue.

How are the thermals using only one fan as intake like this? Elegant video as always!

That Gundam is really nice. Shame it didn't come in B500 or X570 Form. Pairs well with this case. Might get my brother this case.

Great review and I think it was natural transition for Hyte to come up with a smaller case based on the same design language

Their 3 sided case WAS their design. It’s gone, now making this another small for case like everyone else makes. I bet this will not sell anywhere close to the Y60

@@aquanos Bc i have the HYTE Y60 and this space is already saturated.

@@ethenjordan2010 But why are you angry? Is there something bad about them releasing a different case that affects your life?

At First: i love your Videos. They look always super professional. Do you have some temps for us? Especially of the GPU . Greetings from Germany

Great case and review, but I wish they would make an all airflow version.

How much space between the GPU and the glass for a 3 & 4 slot GPU. Airflow will be an issue
@bradcruise6291 Жыл бұрын
do they make a full tower of this? I got the PC-011 Dynamic XL, would love this case but afraid im not gonna have as much room as i do now. I like a clean case that's not cramped.
