It's viable, but garlic has ticks whenever it deals damage so the faster you are, the more often you'll get slapped by someone who didn't die from the first tick

i was going to mention that missingno can actually be the most difficult character to play as, but not only is he effectively a cheat-only character, his gameplay can range from literally unplayable to literally unkillable, so he doesn't really count

Its very hard to find good stats with missingno like once i had very op stats but the growth was very bad it takes like 10x xp to lvl up once and i died kinda mad about it

i feel like high speed has good synergy for clock lancet. u could run all the way through a group of frozen enemies without them unfreezing before you escape. Also with the defense vs offense plays i feel like speed is a defensive tool in this game in addition to the revive (extra HP) this character should be more defensive imo

Unfortunately you don't freeze again until they unfreeze so it's more about being in the right spot for that.

@@MudakTheMultiplier sorry i dont think i worded it right, i dont mean chaining the freezes. i mean simply escaping through the individual groups of frozen enemies into a more clear area without them unfreezing while youre still in their midst. its a run for your life kinda strat. though to be fair ive never played the game these are just my thought after seeing these vids

An afterimage is an image that continues to appear in the eyes after a period of exposure to the original image. So in this case, "afterimage" is appropriate. He is moving so fast that your eye can't properly see it, creating an "afterimage" on the screen. I don't think I'd call what he's doing a "tracer" solely because you only see those types of afterimages if you're high as a kite lol.

The clock lancer and either bracer and/or empty tome was a great combination, too. It just went tick tick tick and I could just stand around and watch everything get frozen and destroyed. Getting the combi was mostly an accident. But I agree on the CL being underrated

So I have a few that i think could shake up the game a bit. The Economists Helm - an item that combines when you get stone mask and crown to maxed. Every time you level up you gain a small damage reduction however it takes 1 gold piece every time. Mistletoe - Evolved Laurel that you can only get if you have armor. When Laurel reaches 0 it creates a blast wave that pushes enemies back and will so a damage over time effect. Gauntlet of the Storm - Lightning Rings evolved form that con only be obtained by getting wings. Lightning will now chain together jumping from enemy to enemy. I'll have no idea if anyone will even read this but i still think they would be great ideas. If anyone has any other ideas then let me know

Needed to take whip, magic wand, garlic or knife. You need damage that doesn’t basically attack at random and attacks nearby.

Yeah the Holy Wand is great at keeping stuff away from you. Whip more so in the library, here not so much. Knife is basically a drill, it's useful if you keep moving.

magic wand has quickly become one of my go to upgrades for this reason. it's a great "keep away" weapon, plus tome is the best passive in the game

Tyler, VS does in fact have full analog movement support. 360 movement, plus speed control with joystick. Don't underestimate the clover either. It helps you get more chickens, more powerup drops, chance to get 4 choices at lvl up, it makes pentagram better, and increases the chance of upgrade items spawning on the map, like the tomes and masks on library. Luck can win you runs, and it's fun =D

new item idea, Nature's pendant summons vines to hold enemies in place and do dot damage Evolved weapon(with laurel) Nature's blessing vines now do life steal and every 30s spiky bushes are created around the player that damage enemies that walk through them

Revives in this game kind of suck. Its like how Clock Lancet is described: its reactive. When you die and revive, your build doesn't magically get better. Revives just lets a bad build stay alive for longer.

You mentioned how you were missing out on gaps due to only having 8 directions. If you hold your left click it creates a joystick around where you clicked. And in the settings you can make that joystick visible.

Just in case you don't know - you can use your mouse to move the character. Click anywhere and drag. That way you can do omnidirectional movement, not just 8 directions.

Cross is actually decent if used wel, i managed to get to like minute 20 before getting a second infinite pierce. It can be annoying, but it us not random which is such an asset for a weapon as if you're able to control it, you can always target the biggest groups

In the Library, the empty tome is to the left at the top of the area, Stone Mask is to the right. They are both a fair bit away, and an be taken when you already have 6 passives, becoming a 7th that you can also upgrade. Careful, though. You can't upgrade them if all of the 6 passives you already have are already fully upgraded. Evolved Weapon I would love to see: Storm King Ring. Lightning Ring + Crown. IDK what it would do, but I want it. Maybe it leaves a damaging AOE that lasts a few seconds?

On the joystick thing, you can hold click and it's the jankiest feeling movement. PS4 controller didn't work but I haven't tried fiddling with it

I think with the cross you want to get enemies bunched up in the center like you where doing but then go closer to the enemies on the edges so it fires at the enemy on the outside then and they come back and pierce the whole group instead of hitting only 3 or 4 layers enemies deep when you're close to the center mass of enemies.

cross really suffers hard from the lack of the duplicator meta upgrade, every added projectile you can get is a huge boost for it since when it evolves for some reason it only has the 1 base again, should really be upped to like 3 imo or at least 2

if you want a challenge, play missingno. he has randomized stats and sometimes he's busted and sometimes you have -100 cool down but -300 area and 500 tiny weapons

hey there's ANOTHER secret character you can unlock he is called MissingN and starts with either axe or death spiral and is unlocked by killing the reaper ( or death ) at the 30 min mark. it is only posibble through editing the game files to make weapons deal ludicrous damage ( or just make death have 2hp and one shot it with basic garlic) the caracter is fun to play but he is an easier character. Would make and great showcase video tho

I think the problem with the cross is how it aims towards enemies. Usually the main group of enemies are in the direction you fire, but the cross turns around, causing it to completely whiff.

The problem with revive is it revives you into the same situation that killed you... If the revive also wiped the screen it might actually feel useful.

Evolved cross does mad damage with certain buffs like candelabrador to raise it's area damage, duplicator, empty tome, spinach, it does a lot of damage, it's good early game and late game, just not mid

I found krochi kinda easy, just need bible, garlic or whip and really invest in those when you see them. every other slot is can be things like axes and wands. He melts through elites with the cross and some wands.

Waiting for a totally cracked MissinN run. Refreshing (going to main menu and back in) the character select screen changes his stats every time randomly and can allow you to start with the evolved Axe as your weapon and not need the special item. Had an interesting quirk with him a run I did recently where due to the various upgrades I picked up and the total of -%144 Cooldown allowed the laurel to act as godmode.

I think the idea to start with cross on this character is to wait for the return of the cross to cut a path in which you'll escape with your speed. The knife could be a good deal too with the speed if the damage match.

It's even more visible with the evolve cross, the sword cut path clear, at this point you don't need area damage, just enough to dig a tunnel and be on the permanent run. Bracer seem to be a must have also to keep the momentum.

You can do a challange where you have to pick only weapons that do not evolve. Laurel - Runetracer - ClockLancet - Bones - Pentagram - Lightning Ring. If you get a choice where you have to pick between items that evolve restart or pick cross or something bad and do not evolve it. At the begining you'd probably have to restart a few times because at level 2 you'd only get items that evolve but after few restarts you will see a runetracer or lightning ring and It should be ok.

you should try to unlock the secret character for killing death. you technically have to cheat in order to unlock it but it's a LOT of fun to play. you have to see it for yourself.

I disagree about Cross. In many of the leaderboard-level runs cross is the first item taken. The early area damage helps clean up swarms and the evolved version has pretty great damage.

+1, I've never had a bad run with cross. It's a bit annoying at the start but especially on builds with low weapon cooldown and some projectile speed & area, it absolutely shreds. Also, it's nice to focus down elites, they damage it and then boomerang behind to keep trash mobs away from you while you work on it.

I hope they add a Evolution of Wings and Armor, it would increase armor and movement alittle, but while you are moving you get more resistance against enemies (not bosses)
