Solar panels & batteries set up…sweet! I believe that off grid living is possible for everyone in North America even in the big cities. That’s my goal when I buy and install a prefab home here in NYC. 🗽 Momo looks like a great company. The home you walked through was solid. I especially liked the kitchen/living room. I’m curious about their bigger homes. I’ll have to check them out more in-depthly. 👀 Great interviews and walkthrough Kerry. I don’t even bother with other prefab homes channels anymore. They are not in your league. Keep it up. 👍

With all respect. My cousin already owns a house in the city (in Inwood) powered with solar panels. And it all came out to a fair price. It would have cost more to buy an apartment in the same neighborhood. So I’m just looking to do the same in the same neighborhood. Just a 16 blocks away.

This would make a fabulous vacation cottage or short-term housing for people relocating. Arrange four of these around a lush garden courtyard with outdoor seating and an ornamental pool with fountain and you would not even need a great view. Would even work in a city such as New Orleans, Charleston, San Antonio or LA. Just have reserved parking nearby and daily housekeeping. Tourists traveling with children would love staying in such a place instead of a hotel or motel. Just make sure the sofa is a queen size fold-out bed so that living area can act as a second bedroom for the children. And have the option of a baby crib in the parent's bedroom.

It. Looks nice. I would go with a different floor plan though. Get rid of the extra door in the living room. Get rid of the dining room table. Swap it for Island that doubles as a bar. Shrinking the living room there by stretch the bathroom. Move the shower to the opposite side. To make space to make the closet in the bedroom bigger. If there is room add a small linen closet in the hall as you come in the door.

I really like the floor plan overall. The finishes are nice. I would prefer a bathroom about half that size in exchange for more living room space and a larger laundry closet that can accommodate a side-by-side washer and dryer. Looks very livable though. They seem to be hiding their pricing. I didn't hear it mentioned in the video and I don't see it shown on their website. I'm guessing the price per square foot is luxury-tier real estate. I'm also wondering how much of this structure is made with specialized components that can't easily be bought at the local hardware store. Future repairs may be a nightmare if you can't get parts and if you can't find a local contractor to work on it.

I think this is a brilliant design. But I do have one question that includes a lot of the off-grid possible homes you have shown in the past, why are these companies designing homes and then slapping ugly solar panels on top? Why not incorporate solar tiles? There are so many options out there that would work beautifully with these style homes yet they continue to destroy the aesthetics by slapping solar panels on top after the fact.

I love the house. It's a small house but has a big house feel. It looks like a crawl space underneath. That would come in handy one maintenance items need repaired. It has a very low roof pitch so probably bo access. I've been looking into alternatives to electricity. If placed in a colder environment, I'm not sure solar could getvthe job done by itself. I'm assuming the panels charge the batteries and you use can flip the breaker from power supplier to the solar? It doesn't run all the time? Is the breaker box wired so tou could use other types of alternative energy or a generator? I didn't catch a price but I'm not sure I want to. As far as appearance and livability, I would score it very high.

Is this the desert model? What happens to the water coming off the roof if/when it rains? There is no overhang to attach any gutters and all water should flow away from the foundation. I guess one solution would be a French drain around the perimeter if the water does not seep down into the walls. If ice builds up at the junction of the wall and roof, it could expand that space.
