Can’t wait for updates. I just did a cargo trailer conversion for a friend of mine. Solar power even runs the air conditioning/heat pump. I have 3 brand new RV type windows left over that I would kindly donate if you’re interested.

Very cool Jon! I'd love to see some videos on this subject! I've been considering a car hauler/camper conversion for a while. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Hi Jon, Looking forward to updates. Great choice with the ambulance. You should consider towing the Affordaplane with it. Driving may be faster than flying. 😁I bought a 2003 Chevy 2500HD 4WD to tow my Van's RV-12 cross-country in an enclosed trailer, once I finish the kit. Your RV-12 build videos are great! I recently completed the interior build-out of an OVRLND aluminum pop-up truck camper shell for my Chevy and the "build" and "tour" videos are on my Sopilote56 KZbin channel.

What is the gross weight of the vehicle? Was it built on a special, beefy chassis? It does seem a shame to gut all of those really nifty cabinets and spaces. As an owner of a small fiberglass camper trailer, I think having sufficient storage space is a desirable feature. Good luck!

I bought a Black E38 on fleabay, flew across the country picked it up at midnight and went out the next day in the desert light to start the trek home and said to myself "Damn my black E38 is BLUE!". Luckily I love the Orient blue color now. But that was pretty funny, all the pictures it looked black.

Great winter project mate, you bought a good vehicle to base it on 👍 looking forward to seeing you get it sorted 👌 How much do those things cost in the USA?

Hell Jon. How I wish that I'll be airborne next summer, but it is unlikely. Maybe in the autumn. My cash wad has been a bit depleted with the move from Italy to Bulgaria. The only thing I've done so far is find out where the CAA is in Sofia. I've yet to get in touch and find out all the rules and regulations governing a part 103 aircraft. If it is very different to the States I might build my Affordaplane as an Experimental rather than an ultralight. Good luck with the project you're taking on. Should be awsome once completed.

Very cool project, I’m in. I just finished rebuilding a 1998 4 wheel camper. I like the idea of building my own Motorhome.

Will you be selling the A-plane or keep it after the flight testing?

Awesome project! Perfect for Boondocking. Is it 4WD? Can you tell us about how much it cost? If you're planning on making it totally off grid, check with "INCREDIBLE TINY HOMES" in Tennesee. They have a package deal for tiny homes. They even have an 8x16 or 8x20 available fully equipped for off grid for around $35K.
