Nice looking rifle . I like the trend of rifles coming from the factory with threaded muzzles . My latest rifles are a Bergara B14 Ridge SP .308 , and. Ruger American Ranch 5.56 detachable mag , both with threaded muzzles .

The Tikka line of rifles are fine shooters also, Sako comes out one end and Tikka the other end of the factory. I’ve got Tikkas in 22 L.R. 22-250, 270 Win,30/06 and 338 Fed all are superb shooters.

I really like 2 stage triggers. I like using the first stage to set up the shot. They are still fast for a quick shot.

Since the barrel is threaded at the muzzle I would like to see you try a barrel harmonic tuner on the rifle to see how it affects accuracy.

I have a SAKO S20 Hunter in 6.5 PRC with the single stage trigger and I absolutely LOVE this rifle! It was crazy accurate out of the box with factory Hornady Precision Hunter 143gr ELD-X ammo. I am reloading 143gr ELD-X and I am consistently printing 5/8” groups at 100 yds. By the way (and I’m not advocating being unsafe) I was able to adjust my trigger down to 1lb 8oz and it is super sweet!

I have an L-461 with a full-length Mannlicher stock that I inherited from my Dad. It was originally a .222, but at some point was re-chambered to .223 Remington. It is a real beauty and an absolute tack driver.

A sako s20 good man, you caught the sako bug who tee who, i did have a sako a7 in 243 that would print sub moa with factory ammo all day half inch with 85gr hpbt and just over half with sako ammo

About time you started investing in premium brand rifles! Without question, Sako rifles Are some of the best rifles ever made, and in my opinion they are from my experiences in my life with many of them. You get what you pay for, and this brand of rifle is second to none. I do not have one of these models yet but I haven’t looked at them. @@adaleparker1956 I cannot say with 100% accuracy, but in my opinion no. One thing to remember though is in these new guns they use a lot more polymer and plastic in cheaper parts. Even some of the high-end companies do this to save money and cut corners. As far as comparing them to the old sako rifles, The build quality is not quite the same in my opinion, however they are still top notch and top of the line

Congrats on the the new Rifle! I also picked up a Sako S20 in the Precision Configuration chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Be sure to take advantage of the Sako Rebate which ends on 12/31/21 where you can have them send you the Precision Stock if you have the Hunter stock and the Hunter stock if you have the Precision. I am saving up for a Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 Tremor3 for it. Should be getting that in the next couple months.

That's a beautiful rifle! Did you know you can reset the firing pin by just lifting the bolt handle straight up, then back down again without running the bolt all the way back? Can't wait to see the accuracy of that fine rifle.

I like it! Don't care for black synthetic stocks but the proof is in the shooting. I bedded my Savage M11 action (.260 REM) in a Boyd's wood laminated (green) thumbhole stock many years ago and it is my favored deer rifle. Currently sporting a Leupold VX-5HD 3-15X scope with FireDot and I couldn't be happier.

I hunted with a 7mm Browning BAR for 30 years. A dependable caliber with great stopping power. All my elk and deer were taken with single shots. I bought a used 30-06 Sako in 1969. Regrettably, I sold it when I built an FN Mauser 30-06 custom tailored to me. The Sako didn’t fit me very well but otherwise was a fine rifle with obviously excellent workmanship. It easily held a 1 MOA group at 100 yards. It was arguably a slightly better rifle than the FN 30-06 but was sadly a poor fit for my body. The Browning was superior to both these rifles and I quickly fell in love with the 7mm BAR. The recoil was so controlled, I never lost sight picture between shots at 9 power. Only a touch more felt recoil than my AR-10 in 308 Winchester but similar to the 6.5 Creedmoor’s flat trajectory and lack of windage sensitivity. I think you’ll experience similar results. A much more “polite” cartridge than a 300 Win mag.

One of my friend uses that one in 300WM, for driven hunts and longer range stalking hunts in the Alps Mountains (in France). Its a fantastic rifle precisionwise, and he's having a blast using it from last season and on. Good pick WTW ! Nice gun. I have tikka t3x lite veil in 7mm. It shoots the same size groups with Winchester super x or precision hunter. I haven’t found an ammo that it doesn’t like.

Tikka is the same way with buttery smooth actions, and crisp triggers. I have a T3x in .308 and love it.

Pretty sweet rifle that you got there. I have heard nothing but positive things about Sako and their brother brand Tikka. Well aside from the sharp recoil on the lighter rifles in a magnum cartridges. Mostly from the horrible hard buttpad. I like thumb hole stocks, my CVA Optima has one and as a left hand shooter it helps. I am interested in how the scope and the cheek comb will line up. It looks high already. Chin weld like. Looking forward to the next video on this beaut.

First time I was shooting with .308, gun was Sako TRG 308. I shot 2" group of five shots from 300 meters at first try. First 5 shots with .308, with bean bag as simple shooting rest. Sako make an average shooter look like a champion..😁👍

My new AR15 upper I'm getting from my family for Christmas just got ordered yesterday with a coupon for $212.79 shipped. Bear Creek Arsenal 20" 6.5 Grendel with fluted barrel. Have it in .308 and .243…shoots sub 1/2” out of the box no break-in. I have a tikkas in .308, .243, and 7mm-08. They shoot well but not as well as the S20. Wish they made it in .260 and 7mm-08.

No on the thumb hole stock. Checkered walnut stock would make me want it. Let us know how much you pay for ammo. I stocked up on 7mm mag back in the 90s and still have plenty. If I remember right it was $30-$80 per box back then, depending on quantity.

Out of the 1000s of rifles ive cycled through in my life, THE absolute BEST was an old SAKO 22 hornet i picked up at a yard sale for $50. Once i found its load it put 5 through 1 hole @ 100. Not 1 raggidy hole but the SAME hole. Only rifle ive ever had in my long life that would do that. Have taken everything from rabbits to grizzlys. When the cabin burned down i cried over THAT rifle. Cabins are replaceable but THAT "Once in a lifetime" rifle will never be. Out to 500 yards i could take anything i shot at. Many a wolf was dead before it heard the bang. I HATE cabin fires!! Flood victems can dry their stuff out but FIRE destroys EVERYTHING.

What is the barrel tenon thread diameter and threads per inch. The threads that screw into the receiver. Consumers may need to replace the barrel after the warranty period and a usable thread for after market barrel makers is a go or no go for getting this rifle.

WTW can't wait to see what sort of groups you get I've seen other videos were it showed not so great groups one video in particular showed a bunch of people shooting it but didn't show what they were shooting at let alone the groups, have to admit it's one sweet looking rifle, might find its probably suited to hand loading???

Good looking rifle. You can cock the bolt by simply lifting it up and then locking it back down. No need to pull the bolt to the rear, as this is simply a function to extract spent round and/or chamber a live round. This applies to all bolt action rifles to my knowledge.
