I completely agree zwag, Azir use to be one of my favorites as well. He was the strongest hypercarry mage but when they took out his knock up with his E because of that one proplay clip in 2014 that began his decline. Then they made it to where you do pass through your targets with his E and etc. now he’s just so bad even late game he’s so freaking weak

One of the best Azir builds you can do is hyper cd w-q burst build. You need electrocute or comet, Final build should look like Cryptbloom, Nashors, Dcaps, Cosmic, MPen boots, rift. Supersede rift with ludens if mana hungry, or get rylai if squishy mobile enemy. For runes get manaflow and presence of mind, so you'll never lack mana. One w-q takes 30-40% hp, then every aa takes another 10-15% more per soldier in field

@mushiDia 🤷‍♂️ only if you want to go for meta builds with max efficiency. All builds are valid from different points of view. I'm not a challenger that I have to do what's standard. I don't really care 🤷‍♂️ for what's 5% more efficient in terms of dmg. Zwag even said he felt more comfortable going tanky if his validation is necessary because you'd instantly die trying to aa with soldiers normally so that your build doesn't really matter if you can't really use it after all. W + Q burst is safe and just as strong.

@@radec1906 but going tanky is not like going q spam, since they took out a lot of q dmg for w dps, so you just go nashors and build tanky, but he would not go tanky with storm surge for example sine the q is so much weaker. Also going the best builds is not a must only in challanger but in every rank, since the point in ranked is to win. So poke q build might be fun in casual, but in ranked not going the best build is a bit trolly imo

@@mushiDia it's choice and preference to be honest. If you want squishy, full as optimal azir then go ahead. There is no guarantee for that to win you every game. It's more optimal, it has 4-5% more win rate that's it. Off-meta builds and picks has insanely strange outcomes in league as well. If you are not a person who has strong mechanics, insane reflexes like diamond+ tier, if you are not in the 1% of the players with complete understanding of creeping, vision, map control, objective focusing etc. then what's fun or safe could be better in the long run. For casual players it's opposite of troll, and it's what makes them enjoy the game. And a lot of casual players play ranked but they tend to stay up to plat1

honestly, While the health on liandries is good, I think that the Nashers would probably be a better first item, and then leaning into the tank from there is probably better in general, while the Liandries did a lot of damage, I think as Azir you just get so much more out of it between the onhit and the attack speed.
