Pigpen channel, haha, I've caught some like that, just stink all to hell, and then the next one will be just fine, funny how that is. But, yeah there's guys around Middletown ( Ohio) that would call the channels out of the Great Miami, Blue channels, they were just plain channels, far as I know the ODNR never stocked any blues in the Great Miami, not the section between Franklin and Hamilton ( that includes Middletown and Trenton) , now they did stock Saugeyes, I've caught some 3 & 4 lbs, on live bluegill fishing for flatheads.
