Nice job. I was about to say, as long as the ethernet cable is cat6 and the backend infrastructure is 10G, you are good to go. There is also the read/write speed of the drive and PCI lanes as you mentioned to take intro account.

Awesome video Nick, that's part of the ITX realm in PC building I think. You'll always have to creative and customizable to get things to work in these small setups and this is great. I like the new wall/background looks sleek! I know it's not recommended, but I believe from research online the Cooler Master v1100 and v850 do have the same pinout and you could have used the original cables in the NR200P MAX and used it for the v1100 SFX PSU. This was verified by Cooler Master. The only problem would be the 12VHPWR cable but you didn't have to use that either because it was dead, so your custom cable would still have been utilized.

Just catching this video. There is actually a video out there with a gaming x 4090 in the max. I think he used a 13600k or 13700k. I was honestly surprised it fit myself. Really tempting. Also thank you sincerely for this video. Because I had been seriously contemplating doing the psu thing with the max.

I did the M.2 to 10Gbps ethernet trick about a year ago in my ITX system with an ADT-Link R42ML and an ASUS XG-C100C. Mounted the card with a 3D printed PCIe bracket I designed that raises the card away from the board, works flawlessly!

I really love the new wall panels you’ve got but with handheld shots like this 15:07 there is a weird warping in the background, might be from the software stabilisation.

I pretty much gave up on ITX, the miniscule amount of desktop space savings aren't worth the hassle and extra expense. I run mATX boards in all my rigs these days.

Did you consider using an m.2 to SFP+ card over this? It would future proof the mod a little bit more, but with how WiFi 7 turned out, the need for this type of mod could be moot. Would love to see a 10Gbit vs WiFi 7 (vs Fiber) transfer comparison for the type of files you work with.
@GearSeekers9 ай бұрын
I did but I didn't want any SFP+ in this machine. As mentioned in the video. I didn't want to use any tranceivers

how heavy is the NR200??? on amazon its saying 10 pounds. i need a travel case and i like this case but it seems a little big and more importantly really heavy
@thefluxlife9 ай бұрын
You probably thought about this but the Qube 500 with a micro ATX build and SFX PSU would forgo the need for case mods or m.2 pcie. That nice little handle on the back of it makes transport easier. However, the glass side panel is a bit scary at times. Wish they would have included an extra mesh panel.
